On Sunday, October 18, the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion show took place in Los Angeles, California. Those performing included Megan Moroney, Katseye, Megan Thee Stallion, and Tate McRae, who performed her newest song “Housewife.” The theme seemed to be more focused on the seasons starting with green and pink florals, and then into autumn browns and winter whites. The collections featured in the show included Spring Awakening, Bombshell Shine & Very Sexy, Dream Angels and Lacie, Winter Reprise, and VSX Active/Sports. The show had featured lots of corsets, furs, and classic Victoria’s Secret pieces. The PINK halftime show presented a more colorful palette with things like layered clothes, chunky belt charms, etc. The show had iconic models including Adriana Lima, Bella and Gigi Hadid, Anok Yai, Barbra Palvin, and many more!
My personal take, I really like the theme this year with the seasons. My favorite was the Spring Awakening collection with the green and pink color combination and use of flowers. The wings on the models were phenomenal, especially the ones on Ming Xi and Elsa Hosk. I also really like who they picked to perform, I just wish they were executed a little better. For example, during Megan Moroney’s set, she went in front of one of the models, messing up where the model could walk. With that, I really do love Tate McRae, but I was hoping for a bit more from her set as I think she could’ve sang some songs that felt more fitting for the VS fashion show, like “Sports Car,” but not remixed. I think she should’ve started with “Sports Car,” to really get the crowd’s attention. I also wish they had her in a different color outfit or wings because she had been in a really nice burgundy, but it just blended in with the atmosphere and lighting. She would’ve looked phenomenal in a black set for the collection she was singing during. I really do love all of the singers that were performing, I just think it was the circumstances of the fashion show. I will say though my favorite had to be Megan Thee Stallion. She absolutely ate up her performance, especially with the song “Body.”
Additionally, I think the amount of influencers that modeled in the show was honestly too much. Especially during the PINK halftime show, it was just a lot. There was so much going on not just outfit wise, but also with the influencers modeling. I feel like just because you are an influencer or have some degree of fame does not mean that you should automatically be put on the runway. That goes into my next point about the Fantasy Bra… Don’t get me wrong, Kylie Jenner is absolutely gorgeous and looked so good in the Fantasy Bra, but I don’t think they should have had an influencer modeling it. I think having one of the original Victoria’s Secret models would have been more fitting for it as it is a part of Victoria’s Secret history.Â
Overall, I was entertained by the show, but I was hoping for more. It’s so hard to compare it to the old fashion shows as they were the whole nine yards when it came to stage set up, theme, outfits, etc. I think that by adding new ideas, but taking inspiration from the old fashion shows, could be very beneficial going forward.
