On July 31st, the fourth installment of Tom Holland’s Spiderman was released “Spiderman: Brand New Day”. Starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, and Mark Ruffalo. This movie follows Peter Parker, a forgotten character after the events of “Spiderman: No Way Home”. Peter struggles with wanting to get his friends back but knowing that his true identity will put them in harm’s way.

Captain America: Civil War (2016)

This is where we first meet Tom Holland’s Spiderman. Tony Stark recruits Peter Parker to help fight Captain America and his team after the split in the Avengers. Peter gets his first taste of the superhero life that he has been dreaming of, and he starts to see Tony as a positive male figure in his life after the loss of his parents and uncle.

Spiderman: Homecoming (2017)

Peter is back in high school and wants to prove to Mr. Stark that he is ready to be an official Avenger. While balancing school, friends, and Spiderman life, he goes after the Vulture. Peter eventually realizes that being a superhero is more about the suit, and he becomes comfortable with his life in this movie.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Peter gets pulled into a fight against Thanos. He joins Ironman, Doctor Strange, and the Guardians of the Galaxy in this battle. Unfortunately, Thanos wins the fight and wipes out half of life in the universe. Peter is sadly one of those people who disappears, leaving Tony devastated.

Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Set five years after Thanos snapped, the Avengers find a way to bring everyone back. Peter returns and reunites with Tony. Tony sacrifices himself to stop Thanos and save the universe. Peter loses this newfound father figure, and this deeply affects him during his future adventures.

Spiderman: Far From Home (2019)

Peter goes on a school trip to Europe in hopes to take a break from his Spiderman life. Here he meets Mysterio, claiming to be a hero from another universe. Fresh off of the death of Tony, Peter decides to trust him and gives him access to Tony’s powerful technology. Peter discovers that Mysterio has been faking his heroic acts. In the end, Mysterio exposes Peter’s identity to the entire world.

Spiderman: No Way Home (2021)

After Peter’s identity is revealed, his friends and family suffer from the consequences. Peter asks Doctor Strange to make everyone forget he is Spiderman, but the spell is tampered with and villains from other Spidermen universes infect the current reality. Peter teams up with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to try to send the villain’s home. To protect everyone’s universe, he asks Doctor Strange to make everyone forget Peter Parker ever existed. MJ, Ned, and the rest of the world no longer remember him, leaving Peter completely alone.

Spiderman: Brand New Day (2026)

Four years after No Way Home, Peter is living alone and fighting crime full-time. He watches MJ and Ned move on with their lives while trying to maintain their safety. As he faces new treats, Peter also experiences changes in his spider abilities and struggles with the isolation of being Spiderman. The movie continues his journey toward accepting that he can be both Peter Parker and Spiderman, even when his life gets complicated.

What’s to Come

What does this mean for the future of Spiderman? After the events of Brand-New Day, Peter has finally started to accept that he can be both Peter Parker and Spiderman. The end-credit scenes hint that Spiderman could be involved in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, although this has not yet been confirmed. With the next Avengers movie bringing together heroes from different parts of the Marvel universe, fans are left wondering where Peter will fit in.

Tom Holland has also talked about his plans for the character. He has explained that he would love to help introduce the next Spiderman when the time comes. One big possibility is Miles Morales. Tom has said that he wants to help pass the role onto someone new, similar to how Robert Downey Jr. helped introduce him to the Marvel Universe.
