As Halloween starts to get closer, the urge to enjoy a spooky movie or tv show is greater. Here are some movies or tv shows that you can enjoy this spooky Halloween season.
CarrieÂ
“Carrie” is a staple during this Halloween season. The adaptation from Stephen King’s novel, you can watch “Carrie” however you’d like. Whether it’s the 1976 adaptation or the more recent adaptation that just came out this October on Amazon Prime.Â
“Carrie” is about a young girl who was shielded from the world by her mom. She goes to high school where she is bullied and she also discovers something about herself.
Coraline
Personally, this is one of my favorite movies to enjoy during this spooky season. You can watch this movie through different streaming platforms like Hulu, Disney+ or Prime Video. “Coraline” talks about a young girl moving to a new house where there is a mysterious door. She takes the chance and goes through the door leading her to another world identical to her world but a bit different.Â
The Nightmare Before Christmas
The best thing about “The Nightmare Before Christmas” is the fact that you can enjoy it during Halloween and Christmas time. It’s a classic during these times. You can enjoy the movie through Hulu or Disney+.Â
“The Nightmare Before Christmas” follows the Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, coming across a door that leads him to Christmas Town. After checking it out he comes back to Halloween Town with an idea.
The Conjuring Universe
If you want to enjoy some actual scary movies, take a look at “The Conjuring” universe.
 You have two options on how to enjoy these movies. You can either watch the movies in chronological order starting with “The Nun” and ending with “The Conjuring: Last Rites.” Watching the movie in chronological order you’re watching the movies through the in story years.Â
The other way to enjoy watching the movies is by watching them through the Theatrical order, starting with “The Conjuring” and ending with “The Conjuring: Last Rites.” You can stream the movies through HBO Max or rent them through Prime Video or Apple TV.Â
Scream
Another classic movie that you can watch during this spooky season. “Scream” is a horror-mystery film following young teens that are threatened by a mysterious killer. You can also watch the movie through Hulu, Prime Video or Disney+.
