There’s no doubt that New York City has become a home away from home for Mr. Harry Styles. From 2012 when One Direction first performed at Madison Square Garden, to a record-breaking 30-night residency, it’s obvious that NYC has become a bit of a favorite child. Harry Styles started his 2026 MSG residency on August 26, 2026. And his final show, in New York at least, will be on October 31, Halloween, aka “Harryween.” My most anticipated outing of the year is finally approaching!

Harryween has become a staple of Styles’s tours. Harry and his band all dress up and he famously performs a cover of a song, typically relating to his costume. Years past have included; Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, with a supporting number of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow;” Danny Zuko from Grease and “Hopelessly Devoted to You;” and a Pierrot clown with a cover of “Toxic” by Britney Spears. Now, the last time Harry was at MSG for Halloween was back in 2021. So the fact that he will be ending his NYC residency on the 31st is a HUGE deal!

So let’s talk about costumes. I’m recreating a childhood favorite costume of mine and going as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz! I have seen countless videos for Halloween costume inspo, but what about Harryween? So I took it upon myself to come up with a list of my own ideas that will leave you feeling fabulous:

  1. Corden’s Angels.

From the iconic Late Late Show with James Corden where the members of One Direction teamed up against an all female team, the Ball Busters. The boys played an intense and very serious game of dodgeball, sporting red gym shorts, a Corden’s Angels tank jersey, and of course red and white sweatbands. You can’t go wrong with this.

  1. Past Harry looks

Dressing as the icon himself is always a great option. You could choose from an infinite number of looks really, but my personal favourites include; his X-factor audition outfit; his sparkly, Elton John inspired Dodger look; frat boy era Harry with the backwards cap and all; and most importantly, one of his album cover outfits.

  1. Iconic doll characters

Something I’ve saved on my Halloween Pinterest board are iconic characters from my childhood. Outfits from Monster High, Lalaloopsy dolls, Ever After High, Bratz, and the Winx club are absolutely adorable and can make an amazing costume. I would love love love, to see one of these ideas come to life!

Finally let’s talk about how to prioritize the night and disco all the time! Having a comfy pair or a change of shoes is a must. I’m wearing ruby red high heels and although I don’t have pit tickets, my feet are gonna be hurting. So sticking a pair of comfy slippers in my MSG approved bag is a need. Other things I would definitely recommend bringing are a portable charger, earplugs, a digital or disposable camera, and lastly bring the fun vibes! Harry’s shows are truly special and you can make such a great connection with other fans. If you managed to win the Ticketmaster war, have fun at your show and make sure there’s dancing!
