Autumn is finally upon us and that means fun fall trips with friends and family. Here are some location ideas to romanticize your life this fall and make lasting autumnal memories.
- Pumpkin Patch
-
This is a classic. Pumpkin patches are great photo opps and a fun way to get the key ingredient for your fall flavors. Whether your pumpkin is for carving, cooking, or general decor, the patch has got something for everyone.
- Apple Orchards
-
Similarly to pumpkin patches, apple orchards are a staple for fall, especially for my fellow apple cider and apple donut lovers. Some locations, like Highland Orchards in West Chester, PA (iykyk) have a little bit of everything for everyone. If you can, I would definitely make it a point to get to an orchard or patch that also supplies some high quality, warm, apple cider this fall.
- Haunted House
-
For the spooky girlies, a haunted house is a must. I personally have never participated in the fight or flight triggering horror simulation, but 2026 may be my year of self-induced terror. As we near Halloween and the haunted houses get on their A-game, a spooky trip is a fun way to spice up your season.
- Cafes
-
Cafes are a year-round pleasantry where you can enjoy a cute study session, a fun pastry, or people watching. There’s something about a cafe trip with multicolored leaves adorning brightly saturated, warm-toned trees and falling on the paths around you hits differently. I would definitely recommend a sunny cafe day-trip with friends or alone before the weather starts dipping too low.
- Parks
-
Last, but definitely not least, a day in the park. Parks, too, are a perfect place to hang out or be mindfully alone year-round, but the added colors of fall give a trip to the park during this season something special. Whether you’re going to picnic, hang out, walk, or jump in leaves, a park is a perfect place to spend time this fall, and I hope you’re all able to get yourselves to multiple before the season ends.
These are just some starter ideas to get you outside and inspired this fall. I hope you’re all able to find time to take advantage of at least one of these locations before winter begins.
