When we observe all of the countless coming of age tv shows some may think of them as cringy, outdated or even overhyped. Shows like Never Have I Ever or Euphoria have been out for years and are just past their prime. For a new show recommendation, with the vibe of a coming of age aspect, I personally recommend Sterling Point. I’ve never been able to be completely interested in this type of genre, I always get cringed out and have to turn it off. Soon after my friend begged me to watch, I finally caved.

For starters, this show shows two opposite twins and how different their life paths are going. The pair are adopted but this doesn’t stop them from being a true family. The show displays their connection on how they are complete opposites but are still so close. This show is perfect for other twins to have a good laugh at!

In the show Sterling Point, we view the main character Annie and discover the hard truths of her family alongside her. Annie has her life planned out perfectly, but when she applies for her dream school and gets rejected, she is at a loss. It doesn’t help that she received news about a relative that recently passed away. With all these things going on in her world, her life is flipped upside down. She has to quickly pick up her life to travel to a remote island, an island where her family history is hidden beneath.

This show will cause you to become attached to the characters and environment. If you enjoy the concept of discovering hidden truths with a little romance and finding yourself a plot line, it’s time to watch Sterling Point.
