I don’t know about anyone else, but seeing the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show this year felt like a major pop culture moment. Between the iconic wings, celebrity appearances, and insanely gorgeous looks, the show brought back everything people loved about the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show while also embracing a more modern and inclusive vibe.

The Performances Were Everything

The performer lineup did not disappoint at all. Megan Moroney, Tate McRae, Katseye,  and Megan Thee Stallion each brought a completely different energy to the runway yet fit so cohesively together as the show went on and the themes changed. Tate McRae’s confident stage presence with her new hit song “housewife” which is about making your own living and being your own provider fit perfectly with the shows overall message of women embracing their individuality and power.

Inclusivity Is Finally Taking Center Stage

One thing that stood out to me was how much more inclusive the show felt compared to a few years ago. Victoria’s Secret has received a lot of criticism in the past for its narrow minded beauty standards but this comeback felt very different than even last years. The runway featured a wider range of body types which made the show feel more representative of real women that young girls should grow up looking up to. A particularly memorable moment for me was seeing models return to the runway after major life milestones, including motherhood as Barbara Palvin, now Barbra Sprouse, recently gave birth just in September. It was refreshing and honestly inspiring to see beauty celebrated in a way that felt more authentic and realistic to women.

Over The Top Wings Are Back

The wings might honestly be the most iconic part of the entire show for me, and thankfully, they made a huge comeback. Some were glamorous and elegant while others were completely over the top in the best way possible. Seeing the big wings return honestly brought back so much nostalgia and reminded me why the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show became such a cultural significance in the first place.

Kylie Jenner and That Fantasy Bra Moment

And then there was Kylie Jenner. My jaw was on the floor. Social media immediately exploded with comments when she appeared wearing the Fantasy Bra, one of the most famous pieces associated with Victoria’s Secret that hasn’t been worn since 2016. Whether you agree with Kylie being the one wearing it or not, you can’t deny that her appearance instantly became one of the most talked about and exciting moments of the show seeing the fantasy bra finally be brought back after so many years.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is still as glamorous, dramatic, and full of amazing fashion as always, but this comeback also feels more aware of what audiences want to see today. Between the focus on inclusivity, powerful female performers, unforgettable outfits, and the return of the iconic wings and fantasy bra, Victoria’s Secret proved that the fashion show can honor its past while still moving forward. Victoria’s Secret is officially back, and everyone knows it.
