4 Latte Flavor Combinations You Need to Try, According to a Barista

Being a barista had been on my vision board for years. So, when I got hired at a family-owned cafe in my hometown, I made it my entire personality. That was two years ago, but the barista passion lives on. Now, I have the honor of making Americanos for my professors at my college’s cafe.

Over the years, I’ve also had the amazing opportunity to test out a lot of latte flavor combinations. I wanted to keep these simple enough that most coffee shops will have the syrups, so don’t be afraid to try them out on your next coffee run!

1. Blueberry + Honey

I actually discovered blueberry coffee years ago, and trust me when I say it’s so good. Bonus points if you find a fancy coffee shop that uses blueberry puree instead of syrup.

But for a combo that’s a little bit more fun to order, try blueberry and honey! This is perfect if you want something sweet without feeling like you’re drinking straight-up candy. My ideal order would be three pumps of blueberry syrup and one pump of honey to balance everything out.

2. Pumpkin Spice + Brown Sugar

This is definitely a seasonal option, but it’s amazing while it lasts. It’s currently my go-to coffee order, and I’ve been recommending this combo to pretty much every customer who asks me what to get. I might be a little obsessed.

Seriously, try it before pumpkin season disappears again.

3. White Chocolate + Raspberry

As a white chocolate hater, this recommendation feels very out of character for me. But there’s just something about this combo that works so well. I had someone order it a few weeks ago, and she gave effortless cool-girl energy. Trust me on this one.

4. Coconut + Mocha + Caramel

Do you ever crave a Girl Scout Samoas cookie? Just me? Maybe that’s because they’re my favorite. Either way, this latte is basically the cookie in coffee form.

This is definitely the pick for anyone with a sweet tooth or anyone who needs a little treat to survive their next study session. You’re welcome!
