As I am writing this, the Emmy Award-winning show, The Traitors, is releasing its civilian season titled Traitors: New Blood. However, they are returning to their traditional star-studded ensemble for season 6, combining reality stars, athletes and celebrities. The lineup just dropped and they are currently in the castle, so let’s predict who is sneaking away to the turret each night.Â
If I were Alan, my first traitor would be Craig Conover from Southern Charm. As an avid Bravo fan, I have watched Craig over 11 seasons. In the early seasons, Craig is a recent law graduate lying about taking the bar, and as the show progresses, he is constantly caught in lies, prompting him to tell co-star Austen Kroll, “I am a lawyer and storyteller!” Despite his consistent fables, he remains a fan favorite and is loved by the cast. I think his ability to tell stories and make connections would make him the perfect traitor. He would not shy away from conflict at the roundtable and can withstand a challenge.Â
My next choice would be Chloe Kim. Chloe Kim is a three-time Olympic medalist in snowboarding. She is the youngest woman to win gold in snowboarding at the young age of 17. In all 6 seasons of Traitors, a professional athlete has never been selected as a traitor. I think Chloe would make a great first traitor. She is among the youngest in the castle and could hide behind the fact that athletes are typically not traitors. Being good at the challenges could also help her keep the facade of being faithful. Chloe also has experience in acting, as she starred in the 2019 remake of Charlie’s Angels.
Lastly, I would choose Whitney Leavitt from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Whitney is no stranger to being a reality TV villain; whether it’s her fault or the producers’ fault is up to the audience. However, Whitney thrives under scrutiny. Turning her early exit from Dancing with the Stars into a spot as Roxie in Broadway’s Chicago, she has teased a spin-off reality show with her husband after departing The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Leavitt’s career and fandom have been built by perseverance, and this trait would make her the perfect final traitor.
