What to Wear to Olivia Rodrigo’s The Unraveled Tour
Is your head full of poison over what to wear to your upcoming Olivia Rodrigo concert? Then this article’s for you! Whether you’re looking to get crafty or put together something easy from the store, I’ve got you covered. Choosing an outfit for such a special night might feel daunting, but at the end of the day it’s just clothes. What you wear won’t change the great memories you’re sure to make at the concert.
Getting crafty
If you’re in search of an outfit that’ll stand out in the crowd, then a DIY is the way to go. One way to do this is by making a custom top. All you need is a plain shirt, iron-on patches, fabric paint, or embroidery floss (depending on how crafty you are). If you’re confident enough to do so, I’d recommend embroidering since it best matches the Unraveled aesthetic, but no pressure there.
Olivia has so many lyrics that would work on a tee; to narrow down your options, a song title and cool font work wonderfully. An accessory that’s sure to look great with your new top is a rosette button. Buttons are also a great way to spice up a plain outfit! At the center of your buttons, you could put a cute photo of Olivia or a quote. “U+ Me=<3" is perfect for these, especially if you're going with friends; each person can wear a part of the phrase. Making a craft with your friends is such a great way to get ready for the show and a super fun activity. One last DIY is custom sashes. You and your bestie can be "Miss Pretty Sad" and "Miss So in Love." Pair these with pink and blue dresses, and you’re concert-ready!
solo
If you’re not interested in matching outfits or flying solo to the concert, dressing as a “Honeybee” is a great option! This is such an easy outfit to put together, especially with Halloween costumes being out right now. If you love “Maggots for Brains,” then a zombie look is perfect for you. Green eye makeup paired with a black dress and distressed tights makes for an easy zombie look.
If a costume isn’t your vibe, an obvious alternative is to wear a babydoll dress. This has been Olivia’s signature look throughout the You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love era. Paired with tights and chunky boots, this makes the perfect Unraveled Tour outfit. The only downside to this option is the lack of warmth, especially with many shows taking place during the winter months. If this is the case for you, I would recommend a pink sweater and maxi skirt. You can be protected from the harsh weather and still be on theme!
No matter what you end up wearing, it will be a great concert. Buying merch at the venue is always an option if you’re still stumped on what to wear; however, I hope that’s no longer the case!
