With the leaves beginning to change colors, the weather getting cooler, and the days ending earlier, I know that my favorite season is approaching. I love fall because of all of the activities that come with the season, such as going apple picking at Carter’s Mountain, carving jack-o-lanterns with my sister, taking long walks in the mornings, and starting my annual rewatch of Gilmore Girls. However, my favorite thing of all is baking delicious and cozy fall treats! So, for anyone looking to satisfy their cravings or take their mind off of midterms, use this guide as inspiration for your next bake!

1. Cinnamon Rolls

There’s nothing better than the warm, comforting smell of soft, fluffy cinnamon rolls, fresh from the oven, and the taste of cinnamon mixed with brown sugar and cream cheese frosting.

Additionally, cinnamon rolls offer so much versatility and can be made to fit any schedule. For an easy bake, you can grab a premade, ready-to-bake can from your local grocery store, or bake it from scratch if you have more time. To make them extra special and perfect for fall, you can add seasonal flavors like apple or pumpkin!

2. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Every Thanksgiving, my aunt would bring pumpkin chocolate chip cookies to my grandmother’s house, so these cookies hold a special place in my heart.

They quickly became one of my favorite parts of the holiday, not only because of their soft texture and pumpkin flavor, but also because they remind me of spending time with my family. The combination of pumpkin, cozy fall spices, and melty chocolate chips makes these cookies the perfect treat for the season.

3. Apple Crisp

Making apple crisp is the perfect way to use up apples after a full day of apple picking. Additionally, it is so easy to make and hard to mess up, making it a great recipe for both beginner and experienced bakers. The combination of a buttery, crispy oat topping layered over warm, cinnamon-spiced apples makes it the perfect cozy dessert for a chilly fall day. To make it even more delicious, add a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top!

4. Apple Cider Muffins

Imagine a warm apple cider donut, but in the shape of a muffin. I never knew replicating the flavor of apple cider donuts could be so easy and made right at home. These muffins are soft and fluffy on the inside with a sweet cinnamon-sugar coating on the outside. They are the perfect treat to enjoy with a cup of apple cider or tea!
