Halloween is only a month away, and there has already been so much talk about what the it couple Halloween costumes will be this year. From new TV shows to nostalgic classics to niche, low-key costumes, let’s take a look at the ones we think will be the biggest hits for you and your boo!

1. Allie Hayes & Dean Di Laurent (“Off Campus”)

If you’re a book girlie or just love rom-coms, and you haven’t seen this show yet, you are missing out! “Off Campus” is a spicy sports drama with a passionate romance and, not to mention, a gorgeous cast. This show showed us a new favorite forbidden couple. Allie and Dean were iconic from the moment they were on screen together. Their iconic JLo and Maverick costumes in episode 2 left everyone’s jaws on the floor! (Pun intended.) Her iconic take on JLo’s 2000s Versace dress and Dean’s “Top Gun” Maverick look were a staple throughout the entire show. So we’re sure this will be an iconic couple’s costume for this year.

2. Eminem & Christina Aguilera (2002 VMAs)

This famous moment has been iconic since the early 2000s. At the 2002 VMAs, Christina Aguilera presented Eminem with the award for Best Male Video while wearing a blue colored scarf top and denim micro skirt, and Eminem wore a classic white tee with a white track jacket. People remember this moment mostly because of Christina Aguilera’s reaction to announcing his win. At the time, the two had a  viral feud that started when Aguilera criticized Eminem’s violent lyrics about his secret wife, and  Eminem threw shade at Aguilera in songs like “The Real Slim Shady.” Nevertheless, people still remember and love to dress up as this iconic duo.

3. Bumblebee & Ladybug

We all saw the rise of the 2000s ladybug costumes last year. So why not pair it with its bumblebee partner! This super cute couple costume is sure to show up everywhere this year. It’s a simple last-minute Halloween costume that really doesn’t need much explaining.

4. Ring Leader & Lion

One of my personal favorite couples’ costumes! This one can go either way, with each partner being either character. It’s a fun, classic costume you can dress up or dress down, depending on your preference. It’s iconic, timeless, and super chic. I guarantee that this will be a costume to remember!

5.Hiccup & Astrid

Last year, everyone was amazed by the live-action “How to Train Your Dragon” movie. Not only was it everything we hoped for, but the costume designs were just as good. This idea is perfect for couples who want something people will most likely recognize but don’t want a classic cliché costume. Plus, if you want an excuse to carry around a ridiculously big axe all night, this is the costume for you!

6. Walter White & Jesse Pinkman

Walter White and Jesse Pinkman are one of those duos that people instantly recognize. Whether you’ve watched “Breaking Bad” or not, the classic yellow hazmat suits are so iconic you instantly associate them with the show. This also makes them easy to recreate. In past years, we’ve seen couples recreate them, putting their own little twist. You can have fun and play around with it, and even bring props, but one thing is for certain: in these costumes, everyone at the function will know who you are.

7. Kat and Patrick (“10 Things I Hate About You”)

10 Things I Hate About You might be one of the most well-known rom-coms of all time. The enemies-to-lovers trope has had people hooked ever since this movie came out back in 1999, and rightfully so. There’s a specific scene I think about when talking about this movie, and that is the paintball fight between Kat and Patrick. Recreating this costume doesn’t have to be boring, either. You and your partner can make your own paintball fight inspired by this movie. Put on the plastic suits they use to cover their clothes, a pair of goggles, and go crazy! It’s not only a cute costume, but also a fun activity to do with your significant other.

8. Remy & Linguini (“Ratatouille”)

Everyone’s favorite, and maybe the only known, animal chef who makes his way to Halloween every year. This is a classic costume from a classic movie. One person dresses as Remy and the other as Alfredo Linguini. You can get the cutest pictures with this outfit by carrying the person dressed as Remy on your shoulders. Like many of these, it is also a simple and perfect last-minute costume. Linguini only needs an apron and a chef’s hat. For Remy, get creative and dress up as a cute little rat, and don’t forget to get that iconic picture.

9. Cake & Baker

If you’re looking for something cute, simple, and more low-key, this is the one for you. One dresses up as a fluffy, fun cake, and the other gets to bring along props like a chef’s hat, whisk, or even flour to throw around. The best part is you can make this costume completely your own, whether you make a huge diy cake or just keep it simple with a dress or colorful clothing to simulate a cake. It’s up to you!

10. “Curious George”

This is a classic costume we see a lot of every year. Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat make a super cute duo. Plus, it’s such an easy costume to put together. One is in an all-yellow outfit, and the other gets to be a mischievous little monkey. It’s nostalgic, playful, and will have people doing double takes (especially because of the man dressed head to toe in yellow).
