MY FAVORITE GLEE COVERS (IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER)

I am a huge Gleek and love all the songs, but I have to admit I listen to these at least once a day. Rachel Berry’s cover of My Man is a life-changing listen. The scene in the show itself is immaculate writing, paired with Lea Michele’s voice, stunning. I also find her voice on Suddenly Seymour incredible. The blend between Rachel and Blaine makes it one of the best immediately. Pretty much any Blaine cover gives me chills. While we are still on love songs, Human Nature and Mine genuinely changed my life. Both couples in these songs were my favorite; who doesn’t love Brittany and Santana, honestly. Which leads me to Landslide; I cried my eyes out to this cover.

Straying from the love side of things and getting more into the group/duo songs, Blame It (On The Alcohol) is such a good group song, and one of the best episodes in the whole series. I loved the humor of it, and the context is so funny. I have to include Kurt and Mercedes 4 Minutes.

They absolutely killed that song; it’s one of the best things Sue has done in the entire show. I love these two together so much; their energy in the song is unmatched. Another classic is Telephone; I loved this collaboration, and Rachel in this scene is so funny. The vocals remixed sound so cool; it’s very different from their normal covers, which really makes it stand out to me. It would be a crime if I didn’t mention the unholy trio’s cover of I Say A Little Prayer. Anything those girls do, I’m obsessed with. Quinn, Santana and Brittany carried the show on their backs.

Finally, the best solo songs. Of course I have to mention Don’t Rain On My Parade. The most iconic song in the entire show. Mercedes cover of Bust Your Windows set the standard in season 1. She absolutely killed. I know all my solo covers have been the women, but Brittany’s I’m A Slave for You is hands down one of the best scenes and covers in the entire show. Not only are her vocals insane, but the costumes and choreography were crazy. Finally, I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You has to be the best Blaine has ever sounded. Now I know Tina and Brittany were technically background vocals, but I have to give my high praise to such an incredible cover. As I said, I love all of the music from this show, but these hold such a special place in my heart and my Spotify Wrapped.
