With the first day of fall happening just a few days ago and the weather finally starting to feel like autumn, it’s time to get into all things fall around Hoboken! From seasonal coffee menus and decorated brownstones to festivals and campus events, here are some things you won’t want to miss this fall.
Coffee Recs
Hidden Grounds
Hidden Grounds just dropped its fall menu, with plenty of flavors to try. This year’s lineup includes the Banana Bread Brew, Cinnamon Roll Brew, Toasted Marshmallow Brew, and, of course, the fall staple: Pumpkin Spice Brew.
The Hive
The Hive also has a stacked fall menu this year. Try the Kettle Corn Latte, Banana Pancake Matcha, Pumpkin Brew, PSL, Maple Staple, or Caramel Apple Matcha.
BWE
If you want to keep it simple, BWE has two fall drinks to check out: the Caramelized Banana Latte and Fall Spice Latte.
Otok Bakery
Otok might be the stop if you want a fall drink and a sweet treat. Their seasonal drinks include the Banana Bread Latte, Cookie Butter Latte, Brown Butter Latte, Pumpkin Spice Latte, and Honey Nut Latte. They also have fall bakery items like a Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll with maple glaze, Apple Crumble Croissant, Biscoff Cookie, and Peanut Butter Brownie.
Fall Activities
After grabbing your fall drink, take a walk around Hoboken and enjoy the crisp weather. As Halloween gets closer, tons of brownstones and front steps get decorated for the season—especially along Garden Street. It’s such a cute and easy way to get into the Halloween spirit.

Events to Look Out For
River City Fair — Saturday, September 26
The Hoboken River City Fair is back this fall! Originally scheduled for September 26, the fair has been rescheduled to October 3 due to the forecasted nor’easter. The free event will take place at Pier A Park and along Sinatra Drive and feature live music across two stages, food vendors, local artists and makers, bounce houses, youth performances, and other activities. It’s the perfect excuse to spend a fall afternoon along the Hoboken waterfront!
Stevens Fall Festival — October 7, 4–6 PM
Stevens students can keep the fall festivities going at the Fall Festival on October 7. It’s an easy way to celebrate the season right on campus and take a break from classes.
Whether you’re grabbing a seasonal coffee, walking around to see the Halloween decorations, or checking out one of Hoboken’s fall events, there are so many ways to make the most of the season. So grab a friend, throw on your favorite sweater, and enjoy everything Hoboken has to offer this fall!
