College is a place where you will meet all kinds of people. Everyone comes from different cultures, lifestyles, and geographical backgrounds. No matter what school or where you are, you have met someone in one of these categories. No two people are alike, which is what makes everyone special. Maybe you fit one of these categories or even recognize which one your friend is. At the end of the day, life will have let you experience these different types of girls.
1. The 5-year plan Girl
This girl knows her life plan to a T, whether it be by the day or by the year; she has her life after college planned out. She already knows what classes she is taking every semester and what internship/ job she wants after college. These girls are goal-driven and usually respond with a “I’m busy today” when asked to go do something. You typically will find them studying in the library, organizing a school event, or volunteering for their resume.
2. THe last-minute girl
This girl is always pushing her stuff to the last minute. When having an exam, she typically does not start studying until the night before despite having a whole day or two to study. But after procrastinating and pushing things off to the last minute, she still manages to get everything done on time. She usually has an energy drink at midnight and all screens on at once.
3. The social butterfly
She walks around campus, knowing everyone and saying hi. She will usually get side-quested on the way to class by too many conversations, so sometimes she shows up late to class. You will usually go to them if you want drama around campus. The social butterfly usually convinces all her friends to go out, attend events, or even meet new people. At the end of the day, you will never have a dull moment with this kind of friend.
4. The gym rat
6 am and she is in the gym, and you will see them in class with some kind of electrolytes or protein shake. If you ever want to know the best protein snacks or pre-workout, you can always ask the gym girl. Don’t know where to find her? The best place to look is the gym. She usually convinces her friends to come with her for a casual 5k during the weekend.
5. The mom friend
Need a charger? She has it. Want some deodorant? She has it. Got hungry during class? She has snacks. If you are ever having a bad day, she will always ask you what’s wrong. Every friend group has the mom of the group, which is very valuable. She is the person you call when you feel homesick or overwhelmed. However, if you are making a questionable decision, she will typically walk through your ideas and the outcome of what would happen.
There is no right or wrong answer. You can be a 5- year plan during the weekday, but once it hits the weekend, you can be a social butterfly. You could also be a gym rat that is always late to things because you got too caught up at the gym. Whoever you are, college is the best place to meet different kinds of people. No matter which type of girl you associate with, you are creating your own experience and memories in life.
