Whether you’re a student in high school, college or beyond, getting ready for early classes and waking up can be a struggle. I am someone who has always wanted to look put together for class so I can feel my best. Because I don’t always have the time or energy for my full makeup routine, I am very experienced with quick makeup routines that have me out the door in minutes. This is a step-by-step guide to my five-minute makeup routine that will last all day, plus my personal product recommendations!

Skin Tint

Starting with a skin tint to evenly distribute across your face is key to a very quick makeup look that will leave you looking glowy and refreshed. Skin tints are also very lightweight and easy to apply in a small amount of time, and have become increasingly popular in the past few years. As someone who avoids makeup that feels heavy, oily, or breaks out my skin, I highly recommend skin tints by Saie, Kylie Cosmetics or Drunk Elephant Bronzing Drops combined with your favorite moisturizer for a more sun-kissed look!

Blush

Personally, I love a liquid blush for a very quick and easy application that blends flawlessly over a skin tint. Blush allows you to look put together, but also just takes a few seconds of your morning! Having a liquid blush brush is also very important for an easy application. You can find these brushes at any local beauty store like Ulta or Sephora with a wide variety of prices. Cheaper options are always available and work just as well! As for the specific liquid blush brands, I love Saie, Huda Beauty and Nars.

Eyebrow Gel

Eyebrow gel is another step that only takes a few seconds, yet makes such a difference. There are so many good gels out there, but my personal favorite is the tinted Benefit brow gel. It comes in multiple shades and has been a constant product in my routine for years. If you prefer a clear and more natural-looking gel, Benefit also has one for you as well!

Mascara

I have tried so many mascaras over the years, some of which look great but take a lot of patience and multiple layers to get to that point, which not all of us have time for. For a very quick mascara application, I recommend Charlotte Tilbury’s Exagger-Eyes Volume Mascara. This product was literally life-changing and made mascara so much easier and quicker for me. It goes on flawlessly and doesn’t need many coats, allowing for a very quick application!

Lip Combo

My absolute favorite part of my routine is definitely my lip combo. I feel like it always ties everything together no matter how much or how little makeup you are wearing. I always start with a liner and finish with a hydrating gloss or lip oil. I also carry these with me wherever I go to reapply throughout the day! For liners, I recommend Charlotte Tilbury; while they can be pricey, they are so worth investing in. They last longer than any other lip liner I’ve tried and have a variety of stunning shades. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, I recommend Sephora brand lip liners! Over the liner, I love the Laneige Glaze Craze Polypeptide Lip Serum Treatment. This is my favorite lip product I have ever purchased. It is very hydrating and not sticky at all!
