After almost four years away from Madison Square Garden, Harry Styles is back to rock the arena for his Together, Together tour. Instead of a 15-night residency similar to his Love On Tour, this residency will consist of 30 nights at the Garden. The continuation of the tour follows residency stops at Amsterdam, London, São Paulo and Mexico City. This trek across the globe follows the release of his fourth studio album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. The name of the tour itself comes from his only single from the record, “Aperture,” in which he sings the line “We belong together.” It’s a moment to bring fans together and enjoy this new experience with Styles and the fanbase, together.
Being away from the stage for roughly four years came with anticipation from fans. When the tour announcements and presales went online, it caused a lot of discourse. Many fans rushed to sign up for the artist presale, but only a limited number were given access. If they were chosen and got in the queue for the sale, ticket prices were up to roughly one thousand dollars. It was said that there was an option for $50 tickets; however, they seemed to be nonexistent once let into the “sales room.”
Ties, disco balls, and pop ups
The concert attire for this tour is looking a bit different than the past. Instead of boas, they’ve been replaced with ties. There is a business look mixed with disco party vibes, floating on mood boards for outfit inspiration. It goes to show just how fresh Styles was with the branding of this album, standing out against the rest.
At the shows themself, there are multiple opportunities to get your own tie at the concert. At concession stands throughout MSG, anywhere that sells popcorn or cotton candy will include a tie with your purchase. So if you think you’re missing something for your outfit once you arrive, you can pick up one last accessory and a snack, all in one!
Along with unique opportunities, the entire time the residency is in town, Styles is hosting two separate pop-ups. His lifestyle brand, “Pleasing,” has an interactive shop located at 443 Broadway. There are multiple merchandise offerings, along with a free photo booth and small goodies. There is also a Together, Together-themed pop-up, located on 22 East 2nd Street. This location is similar to the Pleasing pop-up, just with a few more photo opportunities and small collectibles themed around the tour itself.
One downside to these exciting locations is the wait times. Some fans have waited up to four hours just to step inside the Together, Together location. It can vary on the day and time that fans choose to go. There is also a “Stop & Go” location for those who would like to avoid long wait times and just get merchandise without the extra experiences and photo opportunities.
Surprises that may come
From Aug. 26 to Oct. 31, there are sure to be some monumental moments. Some of the nights through the residency may receive a surprise or two. Breaking Styles’ own record as a residency at MSG, night 16 (Sept. 30) may be special as he sets a new precedent. As well, the second anniversary of Liam Payne’s death (Oct. 16), falls on the night of a performance. Based on the kind tribute that Styles did for the Sept. 11 show to honor those who passed 25 years before, he may do something similar for his longtime bandmate.
It wouldn’t be a Harry Styles tour at Madison Square Garden without “Harryween,” the infamous Halloween show that Styles plays anytime he tours. There’s no telling what could take place that night, as it is the last night at MSG as well. In previous tours, he has dressed up as Dorothy from “The Wizard of Oz” and Danny Zuko from “Grease.” With these costumes, it is one of the biggest nights of the tour. Styles dresses up alongside his band, coordinating on the theme, while also singing a song or two from the movie that they are all dressed up from.
There have been speculations as to what he may do this year. A beautiful tribute that he could make is to dress up as Tim Curry’s character, Rocky, from “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” However, there is no confirmation of this, and it is always kept as a quiet secret until he walks out on stage that Halloween night.

On Sept. 9, Styles sent out an email to fans, preparing them for the official final dates of the tour, as it had been circulating that he may add more dates, seeing as there were only so many stops.
From the email, there is still a lot unknown as to what may happen after these final dates take place. As Styles wrote, “I don’t know what comes next for me, but I know that I’m excited to find out.” It is bittersweet to hear, but there’s no telling what he may have in store for the years to come.
