A trip down memory lane
When I was thinking of an article to write for this week, I immediately thought of a fun story about fictional places that I would like to live in if I could. I feel like I’ve been recently writing some more deep and thoughtful articles, so I wanted to sit down and write something fun and take a look at some of the shows and movies I watched growing up. Below, I have picked eight different places that I would love to live, and I sincerely hope this encourages you to think about some places you would enjoy living if you had the chance.
Pocahontas’s forest
I love the Pocahontas movie for its animations. The forest Pocahontas calls her home is full of beautiful waterfalls, thick forests, and an old weeping willow called Grandmother Willow. The forest is known to be magical, like the leaves that follow around Pocahontas, which are used to symbolize Pocahontas’s dead mother, who is always with her. I would love to live in this forest and explore all the hidden spots of the forest.
fairytopia
Fairytopia will always hold a special place in my heart. You’re telling me that there is a whole land where fairies all live together in flower pods and drink seaweed tea. My dream house would be a flower pod just like the one Elina lives in. In this hypothetical scenario, I would have my own Bibble that came along with my house. Azura’s cottage in Fairy Town was also adorable, with the hovering bluebell flowers that act as trolleys.
olympus
Hercules is one of my Disney movies, and Hercules’s home, Olympus, was always one of my favorite places in the movie. Olympus is resting on a golden cloud in this movie, and I believe that would be one of the most comfortable places to live. There are also waterfalls falling off the ends of Olympus, and it makes the island look even more magical. All of the buildings in Olympus are also made of clouds, which seem like the perfect places to live.
arendelle
If you guys know me, you know that I love Frozen, and Arendelle seems like the perfect little town to live in. First of all, the castle is so beautiful, and I love how cozy the village surrounding the castle is. Living in Arendelle would also include having free access to Elsa’s ice castle and the Valley of the Living Rock, where all the trolls live. I would also love to live in the Enchanted Forest. You cannot convince me that this wouldn’t be an amazing place to spend my life.
strawberry land
Listen, I love Strawberry Shortcake, and I think Strawberry Land, where Strawberry Shortcake and all her friends live, is so cute. I wish I could live in a town with all my friends as she does. My favorite Strawberry Shortcake character is Raspberry Torte, who has a fashion store, which would be my dream job. Each friend’s house is perfectly fit for them, which I think is so cute, and I would love to live in a house based on my personality.
rapunzel’s tower
Tangled was a movie I watched constantly growing up, and I personally loved Rapunzel’s tower, where she is able to bake, read, paint, and spend time with her favorite pet, Pascal. That describes a perfect day for me, so I always really wanted to live in Rapunzel’s tower. The colorful paintings throughout the tower make it seem so cozy, and I would love to bake a pie and make candles just like Rapunzel does at the beginning of the movie.
northern water tribe
To this day, Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of my favorite comfort shows, and Katara was always my favorite character. Katara is from the Southern Water Tribe, but I’ve always loved the aesthetic of the Northern Water Tribe. All the buildings in the Northern Water Tribe are made completely out of ice, and I would love to ride in an ice boat along a river like Yue and Sokka.
crystal cove
On a bit of a different note, Crystal Cove is from the Scooby-Doo spinoff show Mystery Incorporated. This is a bit of a creepy town with some really interesting history that I would love to learn more about if I lived there. I’d love to live in Crystal Cove and help solve mysteries that involve the town.

I’ve always really loved watching shows or movies that I can picture being a part of, whether that’s a nostalgic movie like Barbie Fairytopia or an eerie town like Crystal Cove. I think it’s really fun to imagine different places that I can live, and I thought this would be a fun and refreshing article that could hopefully inspire you to also think about some fictional places you might like to live.
