After 41 amazing shows, the Eternal Sunshine Tour officially came to a close as a new era begins for Ariana Grande. On June 6, 2026, Grande began her tour in Oakland, California, which expanded to include nine other cities, such as Los Angeles, Austin, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Boston, Montreal, Chicago. She wrapped up her tour on Sept. 1, 2026, in London.
Throughout the tour, Grande’s performances included a variety of choreography unique to each era of her career. But this tour wasn’t just about “Eternal Sunshine,” it mixed eras such as “Yours Truly,” “My Everything,” “Dangerous Woman,” “Sweetener, “Thank U, Next,” “Positions” and the recently released album “Petal.”
A huge element that wrapped the show into one era was Grande’s wardrobe changes. These were custom pieces selected by her stylist, Law Roach, and each design was carefully selected, becoming an important piece of the show’s visual storytelling.
Grande also featured products from her makeup brand R.E.M. Beauty throughout the tour, with new products appearing in photos and videos shared from the shows. The appearances helped build excitement around the brand’s latest beauty releases.ย
While the original foundation and image were set around the “Eternal Sunshine” album, Grande released her new album “Petal” on July 31, 2026, introducing a new chapter of her career. During the final leg of the tour in London, “Petal” appeared as the show’s opening video introduction, while five songs from the new album were featured in the final setlist.
The Long Awaited Tour
With it being seven years since the pop star last toured for her “Sweetener” album in 2019, the anticipation and excitement grew from Grande’s fan base as the Eternal Sunshine Tour was announced on August 28, 2025. The pre-sale went live in the U.S. on Sept. 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM and, within minutes, the U.S. dates sold out, according to Time Out.com. Many fans went on social media expressing frustration to both Ticketmaster and Grande after being in long queues.
After seeing many posts online, Grande took to Instagram addressing the frustration, and made it very clear she and her team were working very hard to combat the scalpers and help her fans get the tickets they deserve. As the tour began, many fans were able to get last-minute tickets, whether it was days before the show in their city or the day of at the box office.
This gave more fans the chance to experience the Eternal Sunshine Tour in person. For some fans, the experience became even more spectacular when they unexpectedly found themselves on the floor and had the opportunity to meet Grande’s mother Joan Grande, who attended many of the shows, sometimes accompanied by Grande’s brother Frankie Grande.
Law roch turns the stage into a Runway
When performing, each detail matters, from the message to the setlist order, the stage setup, hair and makeup, to the costume. Throughout the show, Grande is seen wearing six different outfits divided into five acts. For this specific tour, Grande turned to her go-to stylist from her “Wicked” press tours, Law Roach, to pull together these magnificent looks featuring designs by Wiederhoeft, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Ludovic de Saint Sernin and two looks courtesy of Givenchy by Sarah Burton, according to Vogue.
Throughout the “Eternal Sunshine Tour,” Grande’s variety of looks brought something different to the stage, but they all flowed together into the overall feel of the tour. The outfits referenced different parts of Grande’s career, allowing fans to see elements from some of her previous eras while watching her transition into a new one.
Each distinctive piece features different silhouettes curated by its designers, all creating a story through Grande’s performance. Roach assisted in bringing the variety of looks together, making costume changes feel like an important moment in the show rather than a simple change. They all have a story.
One look that stood out to fans was Grande’s black and purple Vivienne Westwood look, completed with Christian Louboutin boots and Swarovski jewelry.
Another notable look was her closing act, which was custom Givenchy by Sarah Burton paired with Givenchy boots and Swarovski jewelry.
Both designs allowed Grande to incorporate elements from her past eras while still tying everything together to fit the aesthetic and the final moments of the Eternal Sunshine Tour.
R.E.M. Beauty Gets Its Tour Moment
While the outfits played a significant role in the show, they weren’t the only thing that stole the spotlight; Grande’s beauty looks throughout the tour did as well. R.E.M. Beauty also pulled through and was still just as impactful to the performance, with Grande incorporating products from her brand into her different looks.
Grande’s sparkly purple eyeshadow was the look that truly captured fans by surprise as they anticipated that a new product could be released, along with other makeup products she used during the tour. Ever since the release of R.E.M. Beauty, Grande has always tried to present her brand in any public look, whether it’s on the red carpet, in a movie or at a concert, she makes sure she is fully representing her popular brand.
The New Era of “Petal”
As the tour progressed, the excitement for Grande’s new album “Petal” grew even more before it was released on July 31, 2026. On the day of the release, her team worked with several record stores around the country to create listening events where fans could pick up their new vinyl records and listen to the new album together.
The event included the pre-ordered vinyl records, CDs, special posters, stickers and vinyl mats for record players. Within the first week of being released across all streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music, “Petal” began making an impact on charts like the Billboard 200, according to Billboard.
The Future of Ariana Grande
With the tour now concluded, Grande announced on Aug. 6, 2026, that she would be stepping away from the public eye and the West End production of “Sunday in the Park with George.” Her decision to step away has left fans wondering when they will see her perform again, but Grande has made it clear that the tour was an important experience for her and I am sure she’s not going too far for too long!
