For those of you who are chronically online, chances are youâve seen the rumors that Kylie Jenner and her longtime bestie Stassie Karanikolaou were officially in their falling-out era. And honestly? The evidence seemed more than convincing. Karanikolaou recently missed Jennerâs 29th birthday party while vacationing in Ibiza with Alix Earle, the two werenât popping up on each otherâs social media quite as much, and suddenly, internet sleuths were conducting a full blown-friendship autopsy. Were the two actually beefing? Fans had questions and naturally, the internet had theories. But as it turns out, we may have been doing entirely too much. Jenner and Karanikolaou recently addressed their rumored feud on Karanikolaouâs Better Half podcast, and the truth is somehow even more unserious than the rumors themselves.
ICYMI, Jenner and Karanikolaou have been close since they were teenagers, so fans were understandably quick to notice when the pair seemed a little less inseparable than usual. Karanikolaouâs absence from Jennerâs birthday only added fuel to the fire, especially since she was living her best life in Ibiza with Alix Earle instead. During their Better Half conversation, Karanikolaou revealed that the two were actually sending each other the internetâs theories and videos about their alleged feud while laughing about them. Jenner even admitted that she told Karanikolaou that they should âkeep this âfeudâ up.â So yes, the feud that had everyone refreshing their feeds was actually just a performance.Â
Even in the podcast episode, the pair added fuel to the fire. Karanikolaou said to Jenner, âWell, I just think you were being such a b*tch,â before bursting into laughter and asking, âIs that crazy?â Jenner was laughing right there with her, even stating that she was âinto it.â That launched Karanikolaou into a tell-all about how they were sending each other the internetâs theories and laughing about them.Â
To keep the fake feud going, Jenner explained how when she and Karanikolaou were both in attendance at Jordyn Woods and Karl Anthony Townsâs wedding, âStas kept getting too close and Iâm like, âStop talking to me. Weâre supposed to be beefing right now.ââ I honestly donât know whether to be mad or laugh.Â
However, Jenner admirably confessed how she doesnât let the internet noise bother her. She only decided to address it after two months of the alleged beef going rampant on TikTok because she realized it was actually becoming a thing. Karanikolaou also explained how sheâd planned to return to California on Saturday, Aug. 8 in time for Jennerâs birthday, but since Jenner had the party on Aug. 6, she simply couldnât make it. Perhaps the moral of the story is that things arenât always how they seem â and that the internet is simply too quick to jump to conclusions.
