Whether you’ve been waiting for a Glasgow chapter of Her Campus without even knowing it, or you’re just curious as to who on earth we are, Freshers Week is the perfect time to find out. Here’s the rundown of what we’ve got planned, when, and where, so you can find your community here at Glasgow too.
The first place you’ll find us is the Freshers Fayre! This is the easiest way to meet basically every society on campus in one go, and we’ll be at our stall, ready to talk you through what Her Campus is and how to get involved.
Our first big event is our Launch Party, celebrating the very first issue of Her Campus Glasgow, on Monday, September 21st, at Dram at 7pm. A chance to meet the team, hear more about the publication, and be there for the actual beginning of this chapter’s story.
If you already know you want in, here’s how. Social Membership gets you access to our events, access to photoshoots, first look at future board applications, and a community of brilliant women to actually meet in person. Writers’ Applications open during Freshers Week, as a writer, you’ll contribute to our publication and get access to all our editorial events too. Currently, our board is complete, but we are looking for a Freshers Rep to join us, so stay tuned on our Instagram!

There’s no rulebook for starting a chapter from zero, no “the way we’ve always done it.” Which means every part of this is ours to shape, and we get to build it exactly the way we wish it had existed all along. Whether you want to write, come along as a social member, or eventually sit on the board yourself, there is space for you here from day one.
