I’m sorry Apple, did you just allow Tim Cook, the person that everyone grew to know with this amazing company to step down as CEO? Who ever thought after all of these years of Cook being the CEO of Apple, he would actually go and bid farewell to this amazing title. Cook is the reason why we have all of these amazing products that Apple has to offer to so many people. It feels kind of nostalgic having Cook as the CEO for so long that it’s bittersweet, yet interesting to think about how the company is going to move forward, as it will be getting a new CEO this September. Is this the end of an era? What does the future of Apple hold? Let’s take a closer look at this crazy news that is going to be talked about for quite some time.
Cook has a long history with Apple when it comes to all of the hard work he put into the company. He started working with Apple in 1998 as senior vice president for worldwide operations. As the years went by with him working at Apple, he kept getting promoted to higher positions within the company like chief operating officer, an interim CEO, to eventually chief executive officer of Apple in 2011. For the past 15 years, Cook has made Apple what it is today, with all of the amazing products, like iPhones, iPads, Airpods, Apple Watches, Macbooks, etc. If you think about it, Cook truly has made history with all the success he made with Apple and all of the products that they have created throughout the years. It’s crazy to think about what’s next for Apple with their new releases without the most successful CEO’s that Apple has had in history.
Here’s the scoop: on April 20, Apple officially announced that Tim Cook will be stepping down as CEO of Apple and will be transitioning to the role of executive chairman this upcoming September. Cook’s decision to leave his position and step into a new one was a long-term plan. The Apple team is basically stating that this is a thoughtful and smoother way to transition his role so that he can still be a big part of Apple’s success. I know when we first heard the news, everyone thought that him stepping down as CEO meant that he was retiring. However, I do think that it is great that Cook will continue to work with Apple in this new role, especially since he grew Apple to be the big successful company that it is today.
Now the question is, who on earth is about to replace Tim Cook as CEO of Apple? Well my friends, the person who is now the future CEO of Apple is John Ternus. For those who do not know, Ternus was the former senior vice president of hardware engineering. He started working at Apple in 2001 and has worked his way up to now becoming the new CEO of Apple with all of the hard work he has put into the company. Since he was a big part of all of the development of most of the Apple products that we know today, it’s interesting to see where he is going to take Apple within the next few years as CEO of the company.
Speaking of where Ternus will be taking Apple, the big question is, what is the future of Apple now that we are getting a new CEO? Well one thing is for sure, people have been talking about a lot of changes that they want to see happen in the company. The main thing people want to see is really updating the new products that they are releasing. I have to agree with what the people want because within the past few years, Apple has been releasing the same products just with different numbers where there isn’t really a point to upgrade your products unless they are getting messed up. I do hope to see more good major changes with the products because it’s just a waste of money and the consumer doesn’t really get as excited when there are new releases coming out. Also, a little change that others and I want, is to add more colors to the products. Why does it always have to be the same colors when some new product from Apple comes out? Seriously, can we for once get a nice pink iPhone, that’s all we are asking for. Let’s just hope that Ternus will actually listen to the people and make the changes that are being talked about online, when it comes to getting new products to the public.
Here we are, an era officially ending as Tim Cook will no longer be the CEO of Apple within the upcoming months. It’s been a fun ride with Cook, but now it’s time to see a new leadership for Apple to see what the future holds for the company. John Ternus, please continue the amazing success with Apple and create amazing products within the years to come. I hope you have a successful career as CEO for as long as you decide to stay as CEO. Tim Cook, congratulations on a successful career as CEO and transitioning to executive chair.. I hope you continue your career with Apple strong until you are truly ready to let go. So, are we ready to see what Apple got in store for us? Let’s get ready for what the future holds for the company with the new CEO and what products may come our way.
