I went to New York City last weekend with one of my friends and my sister! The day was so long but amazing, and I will never forget it. I went to New York a few years ago for my 16th birthday trip, and we spent most of our time touring around the city and at the Friends exhibit. It was so much fun, and ever since that trip I had been wanting to go back to the city.

When we arrived at the city, the first thing that we did was go to Liberty Bagels. I had seen this bagel shop everywhere on social media, and I was so excited to try it. I got a Rainbow bagel, a specialty of the shop, with Oreo cream cheese. This was one of the best bagels that I have ever had. Then we stopped at Blank Street, a coffee shop that I had seen amazing reviews on. I ordered their Cherry Glaze Cold Brew, which was a mixture of sweet cherry flavor and vanilla bean. It was a specialty for the spring menu, and it was so good.

We spent a lot of time at the Harry Potter store. My sister is a huge fan, and we grew up watching the movies and reading the books. Walking into the store felt like a fever dream. It was so cool to walk around the store and look at all of the wands and merchandise. I ended up purchasing a few postcards and a pen with Harry Potter’s glasses and scar as a design. We then went to Chelsea Market, which was about a 30-minute walk. There, we spent a lot of time at an adorable bookstore, and we met up with our cousin who lives in the city!

We then went to Rockefeller Center to go to the FAO Schwartz store and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. It was so cool to go into St. Patrick’s Cathedral and see the artwork and the stained-glass windows.

We ended the day in Times Square at the Disney Store. As a huge Disney fan, one of my top bucket list items was to go to this store. Walking into the store felt like a dream. The feeling of walking in and seeing all of the Disney merch was unmatched. The upstairs floor of the store was unfortunately closed, but I ended up purchasing a pin and a reusable bag.

This trip to New York City was one of the highlights of my sophomore year. I absolutely loved going to the city, and even though it was raining, it was such a cool experience. New York City is one of my favorite cities, and it will always have a special place in my heart.
