No one prepares you for the moment you have to say goodbye to something you love. And in two weeks, that is what I have to do. Here is my love letter to you MC.
As I prepare to walk across the stage, I realize all I am leaving behind.Â
A place that has become more than an institution or a brick building, it has become a feeling and, more importantly, a home. Everything inside these walls has made me into the version of myself who will receive a degree on May 14th. Every step of the past three years on this campus has allowed me to grow and evolve in more ways than one. Merrimack cultivated a space for me to learn and experience life not only as a student but also as a young woman living on her own for the first time. And all I can say is thank you, from the bottom of my heart.Â
This small, beautiful campus, 25 miles from Boston, has been a part of my everyday routine, and those everyday things are what I will miss immensely.Â
My walk to Crowe multiple times a day, where I learned the ins and outs of business and marketing from my professors.Â
My daily smoothie runs at the den, that have become my staple for getting through a class or work shift.
My shifts at the Hub, with the best co-workers who have become great friends. And where I come for weekly chapter meetings on Monday nights.Â
My senior apartment that has held the deepest memories of my senior year.Â
To these things, I finally say goodbye, as I move on to the next chapter I hold these moments close to my heart, where MC will live forever.Â
Goodbye Merrimack College,
Love Kami Chadwick
