Welcome back, Her Campus readers! We are rolling into our last week of content and moving towards summer. Since Coachella was one of the “kick-off” events that gets many of us in the summer mood, I wanted to share some of my opinions and favorite performances at Coachella. Although, I only recently learned about Coachella through TikTok starting around 2021, I love to see who is performing! I always make jokes to my friends about attending Coachella, but it isn’t within our budget. Maybe one day, we can all go to Coachella! Without further ado, here are my top 3 favorite Coachella performances!
Number 1: Justin Bieber
Since it is a rare experience to see Justin Bieber perform on stage, I was really excited to see what he would put forth as a headliner for Coachella! I had really high hopes for what he would offer, and he didn’t disappoint. From bringing many special guests out onto the stage, he knew that he was “Justin Bieber.” He brought out celebrities from Billie Eilish, Kid Laroi, Big Sean, and more. He completely outdid himself with his performance, and I cannot stop watching the TikToks showing off his performance. My absolute favorite songs that he performed were “Beauty and a Beat” and “One Less Lonely Girl.”
Number 2: Addison Rae
This performance surprised me! I hear a lot of individuals talk negatively about Addison Rae, but I personally think that she is just trying to make her way into the music industry. Although, some of her performances may not have been mind-blowing, I think that she is a great entertainer. Her performance at Coachella did truly surprise me, and she even brought out both Maddie Ziegler and Olivia Rodrigo. Bringing out these two special guests definitely did enhance her performance. Overall, I enjoyed her performance and I look forward to seeing if she will be at Coachella in the future!
Number 3: Teddy Swims (ft. Joe Jonas)
Now, I think seeing Teddy Swims bring out Joe Jonas as his special guest has never made me more jealous in my whole life. This is an exaggeration, of course. I didn’t expect one of the Jonas Brothers to be brought out as a special guest for Coachella. Teddy Swims put forth a great performance, and also added a bit of flare with bring out Joe Jonas. Together, the pair performed “When You Look Me In The Eyes,” which is a very well-known Jonas Brothers song. I enjoyed this performance so much, and think that the pair worked wonderfully together on the Coachella stage.
Each year, Coachella brings out many great names to perform at their festival. I did enjoy watching many of the clips from this year, and hope that someday I can go to Coachella in person.
