The Guide on How to Survive Wedding Season

If you are an Indian girl, you already know wedding season is a lot. It is fun and beautiful but also expensive and exhausting.I have four weddings this summer, each with multiple events, so I needed a plan to survive without breaking the bank or losing my mind. Here are my go-to hacks during wedding season that make a difference!

Rewear and restyle outfits
You do not need something new for every event. Switch your dupatta, blouse, or jewelry to create a new look. Mixing and matching pieces helps you get more out of what you already own.

Borrow from friends and family
Outfit swaps are a lifesaver. We all have clothes we have only worn once or a couple times so sharing gives you more options without having to spend more money.

Keep makeup simple
I stick to a glowy base, neutral eyes, liner, and a lip. It is quick and easy and still looks put together without the stress of full glam every time.

Go to easy hairstyles
I rotate between a few simple hairstyles that are quick but still look beautiful. My favorites are curls, a sleek bun, or a half up half down style. Adding a clip or accessory instantly makes the look feel more dressed up.

Plan ahead
Lay out all your outfits before the wedding events start. Decide which outfit goes with which event so you are not scrambling last minute. This also helps you avoid repeating similar looks back to back.

Choose comfort
As much as we love looking good, weddings are long. Choose outfits and shoes you can actually move in. Block heels or flats are lifesavers, especially when you are standing, dancing, and walking around for hours.

Carry essentials
Bring a small kit with safety pins, lip gloss, band aids, and hair ties. You will always end up needing something.

It is easy to get caught up in outfits, pictures, and planning, but at the end of the day weddings are about celebrating love and spending time with family. Enjoy the moments, laugh with your cousins, and do not stress the small stuff. Wedding season might be chaotic, but with a little planning and a few hacks, it can actually be fun. If I can survive four weddings this summer, you definitely can too.
