Every year the biggest music festival comes around in April for two weekends, and that music festival is, Coachella. This year I’m so excited for the Coachella lineup, and seeing what happens in the Coachella Valley. However, actually going to Coachella is such an expensive experience, so watching online has become something I tend to do every year, and honestly the experience feels the same as if I was there at Coachella when watching the youtube livestreams. So why not give a review of what it’s like to experience Coachella at home.

This year’s headliners are: Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G. All three of these musicians did a great set that I really enjoyed. Sabrina Carpenter did her own version of Hollywood, as she had a 80’s to 90’s theme, as all her costumes were custom made by Dior giving a very vintage look to them. Her sets were changed constantly throughout her show and through each set change there was more of older Hollywood. At the very end she was in a car that put her towards the sky as water came down which was such a fun way to end the show.

After so many years, Justin Bieber finally came back to the stage to perform. I know that so many people were confused about his set as was I. But going down the rabbit hole people were pointing out the significance of his performance. How he first came to the public eye was on youtube as that was how he was discovered, also that he does not own any of his older and popular songs, so the only way to sing them was through karaoke style. He also poked fun at himself with videos of some of his memes.

Finally, the last headliner of the festival and that being Karol G. She is the first Latin woman to headline Coachella, and her performance was such a significant one to not only the Latin community but to Latin women. Her theme was such a beautiful one as she took us back to the evolution of humans, having her set with rocks and costumes that look like cave women. As the show went on the costuming changed and went to later more modern looks. She also did such a phenomenal job with showcasing many different Latin countries and cultures, as she brought out many Latin singers including a Mexican Mariachi with only women which was such a beautiful tribute to Mexican culture.

After watching weekend one, I’m so excited to watch next weekend’s performances again. I hope they bring out more special guests, do different songs, or just watch some of my favorite performances again, and enjoy the show through the comfort of my own couch.
