In mid-March, fans of Olivia Rodrigo began to notice a mural in Los Angeles, CA began to be painted a certain link color with the letters OR on it. Each day, the wall was repainted a lighter pink. This mural quickly became viral online, and fans noticed in no time! Fans began to speculate that it was a hint about Olivia announcing a new album very soon, her first in over two years. Later, the word “love” was added, and the pink kept getting lighter! Olivia started to hint at new music, but nothing was confirmed yet… until the early morning of Thursday, April 2nd, when the album “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” was announced to be released on all streaming platforms on June 12, 2026!
There have been theories of what the new era of Olivia’s album will be! At first, fans predicted the album would be a love album. The album was predicted to maybe even be called “LOVE”, since the pattern had been 4 letters in her album names. So, it came to a surprise and a twist that the era vibe might actually end up being a depressing, anxiety-type of love album. Or will we be experiencing the anxiety of going into a new relationship? According to our pop punk princess, this album will be FILLED with “sad love songs” (Rodrigo.) Few fans have already guessed that maybe this album will also be very “scared of my guitar” coded, one of her great hits from her sophomore album, “GUTS.” I guess we’ll know for sure the day of release – only time can really tell…
