In light of the recent ‘Sephora Spring Sale,’ I have been thinking about what products are truly worth it at Sephora. Even though the spring sale is over, there are still plenty of great finds that range in price. If you are looking for new makeup and skincare that are definitely worth it (in no particular order), then this is the article for you.
- Pocket Blush – rhode
-
Something about a product by Hailey Bieber will always make me want to try it out. She knows how to market her brand perfectly.
While I know rhode and its products are not in any way underrated, this blush is just too good not to talk about. This has been my go-to blush for the past year and a half, and for good reason.
If you are looking for a smooth, blendable but still pigmented blush, the Pocket Blush by rhode is the way to go. The formula of this blush is so buttery and soft, making it incredibly easy to spread and melt into your skin.
I usually use it by applying my brush directly onto the product and then dabbing it onto my cheeks and nose. You can also apply it directly to the face and blend or warm it up on the back of your hand first. Any way works since this blush is so versatile.
My personal favorite shades of this blush are ‘piggy,’ which is more of a muted baby pink, and ‘sprinkle,’ which is slightly deeper and redder. No matter the shade that you choose to buy, you will not regret purchasing this blush.
- Glowscreen – Supergoop!
-
This product has become a staple in my makeup routine. I do not normally use a primer to begin my makeup; instead, I mix the Glowscreen with my moisturizer for a natural glow.
As someone who is pretty pale, I am always very conscious of what I am applying to my skin and taking great care of it. This product doubles as a sunscreen, which is incredibly necessary for protecting my skin and for preventing wrinkles in the future.
It also doubles as a natural, warm glow for the base of your makeup. This product truly makes me feel tanner, but in a way that does not look patchy or fake. If you want to feel glowy and want a gorgeous, clean slate for your makeup, this is the product for you.
- Dew Bronze Liquid Bronzer – Saie
-
This bronzer is one of the newest additions to my makeup collection. After dropping my previous powder bronzer and having it shatter on my floor (as one does), I decided to try out a liquid bronzer. This particular one from Saie is top tier.
I have found this to be a very easy-to-blend product that can be used more lightly or can be built up in order to develop the color. I love how this bronzer is not harsh, but goes on smoothly and with ease.
It also comes in more cool-toned and more warm-toned shades, making it versatile for whatever your undertones are. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone in search of a timeless and workable liquid bronzer.
- Peptide Lip Tint – rhode
-
This is another staple from rhode, proving their products are just that good. If you tried this lip tint when they were first released, you may remember the weird grains that would sometimes come out when applying. Well, those are gone now, and the lip tint has been reformulated.
Originally, I tried this product out when it still had the graininess to it. I liked the product and its pigment, but the texture just did not do it for me. After the reformulation, I can confidently say that this is one of the best lip glosses on the market.
It applies smoothly and with ease, leaving your lips hydrated and with a gorgeous finish. My personal favorite shades are “ribbon,” which is a baby pink color, and “salted caramel,” which is almost clear and has a smell that is to die for. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking to try a new lip gloss that they can wear all day, every day.
- Cookie Powder Highlighter – Benefit Cosmetics
-
I have been using this highlighter for about two years now, and it is just such a great staple to have in my routine. I feel like the products from Benefit Cosmetics are very underrated and definitely need to be given more credit.
The packaging of this highlighter is small and perfect for travel, but it still does not run out of product for a long time. It really does not require applying a lot of the product, and a little bit goes a long way. I normally apply onto my cheekbones, nose, brow bone, inner corners of my eyes and my cupid’s bow.
The color is super versatile and is a really pretty pearl color. It is very bendable and goes on smoothly, making it the perfect highlighter to keep in your makeup bag.
- All Nighter Waterproof Setting Spray – Urban Decay
-
I have only started using this recently, and my makeup has never lasted longer. I have always had difficulty finding a decent setting spray or even feeling that they serve a purpose. This one has definitely changed my opinion.
After using this setting spray consistently for the past few months, I can honestly say that my makeup has never stayed on better. This product leaves my face feeling hydrated and leaves my makeup lasting all night. I would definitely recommend this to anyone struggling to find a way for their makeup to stay on.
- Glowy Super Gel Illuminator – Saie
-
My makeup has never looked so naturally glowy before using this product from Saie. Normally, I have been applying it after moisturizer to give me a natural, shiny base. When applying, I put one drop on each cheek, my forehead, my chin and a little bit on my nose.
The product gives a slight glow that can be seen through makeup, to the point where I do not always feel the need to put highlighter on my cheekbones. It is just that natural, and it genuinely looks like my skin, but better. This is definitely worth the hype it gets, and I feel it can even be worn without other makeup.
- Lip Butter Balm Treatment – Summer Fridays
-
These Lip Butter Balm Treatments are definitely in my top three lip glosses of all time. I could go on and on about Summer Fridays and how much I love them, but this is my favorite product of theirs.
This lip gloss goes on so smoothly and does not leave a sticky feeling on my lips, instead leaving them feeling extra hydrated, and you will never see me without one on hand.
Each shade is gorgeous and smells amazing, but my favorite is probably “pink sugar,” which is a really pretty pink color. Honestly, any of their pink shades are great, particularly “Birthday Cake,” “Pink Guava” and “Strawberry Soft Serve.” I would recommend trying every shade; they are just that good.
- Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Exfoliating Toner – Paula’s Choice
-
This has been my holy grail toner since I started using it about two months ago. I was looking for a new toner/exfoliator, and this one from Paula’s Choice kept being recommended to me.
I had been struggling with finding a product that would take care of my blackheads, and I have seen real results after using this product consistently. I tend not to stray from my typical skincare routine as my skin is very sensitive, but this toner has not irritated me in the slightest.
It has made my skin much more even, and I would recommend it to anyone on the lookout for a new toner and exfoliator for sensitive skin.
- Lip Glowy Balm – LANEIGE
-
The Lip Glowy Balm from Laneige is my absolute favorite lip product of all time. They are easy to carry around in your travel makeup bag, as the packaging itself is relatively small and the level of hydration and shine makes my lips feel so smooth after applying.
While Laneige has a smaller variety in their shades of these lip glosses than the ones from Summer Fridays and rhode, they are still worth it due to this product itself being better than the other ones. I personally believe that the Laneige lip glosses are the best at being able to leave my lips moisturized.
My personal favorite shades are “Vanilla” and “Blueberry,” with each shade smelling amazing. The product leaves no sticky feeling on my lips and is honestly better than any other one I have tried. I would most definitely recommend trying it out for the best your lips will ever feel.
I hope that I have inspired you on what to buy for your next Sephora shopping spree, and some of their best products on the market right now. If there is any product that I cannot recommend any more than the others, it would definitely be any of the lip products, but most definitely the ones from Laneige. Let me know your opinions on these products after trying them out!
