Like many people, I loved Monster High as a child. (Honestly, I still do.) Monster High is a multimedia franchise of dolls, movies, and TV shows about the children of popular monsters, meant to teach children that it’s okay to be different. Have you ever wondered what character you’re most like? Ever wondered what major they might have, and if it’s the same as yours? ‘Cause I have.

Biological Sciences: Frankie Stein

Given that Frankie Stein is the daughter of Frankenstein’s monster and is literally stitched together, biological science would be perfect! Frankie is naturally curious and loves learning; she would love being in a lab and learning about other creatures. This program allows students to work in the labs and make their own discoveries, which aligns perfectly with her origin story.

Art & Design: Clawdeen Wolf

As an aspiring fashion “moghoul,” Clawdeen Wolf would excel in art and design. She’s super confident in her self and fashion, but she’s also aware that she has a long way to go. The program provides the in-demand skills she needs to build an immediate “clawture” brand. Her classes would help build her portfolio to have a fashion show (again) in Scaris.

Nursing: Draculaura

Draculaura is known for her deeply compassionate nature and desire to help others. She’s also a big softy; she cannot bear to hurt anyone, and she loves helping her ghoul-friends. Those traits make her perfect for the Nursing program, which is specifically designed for those wanting to help others through healthcare.

Business Administration: Cleo de Nile

As a confident Egyptian princess, Cleo de Nile would want to strengthen her leadership skills and manage her social standing. Her confidence and attitude give her a very powerful presence, and she would dominate the Business Administration program: a program designed to prepare future leaders to tackle pressing problems.

Computer Science: Ghoulia Yelps

Known as the smartest student at Monster High, Ghoulia would thrive in computer science. Her brain works fast for a zombie and she’s extremely skilled behind a computer; she even hacked a spaceship in Monster High: Boo York, Boo York. The Computer Science program is among the fastest-growing fields and would benefit from her analytical mind. She’d also be an amazing candidate for the honors program.

Climate Science: Lagoona Blue

As a lover of the ocean and an environmental advocate, Lagoona would be right at home in Climate Science. She’s super passionate about our oceans, not just because she lives there, but also because our environment affects all her ghouls and she wouldn’t want anything to happen to them. Her goal would be to use her studies to protect her home and aquatic habitats. She wouldn’t just learn about climate science; she would put it into practice.

Journalism: Spectra Vondergeist

With her passion for uncovering the latest news (and gossip) for her “Ghostly Gossip” blog, Spectra is a natural fit for journalism. She’s a seeker of the truth (and gossip) and is always looking for a story that can entertain her followers. The Journalism program would strengthen her writing, social media, and video production skills.

Criminal Justice: Rochelle Goyale

Rochelle is known for being rule-oriented and protective of her ghoul friends and her school. In my experience as a Criminal Justice major, this matches our motivations. The program would teach her how to help her ghouls even further.

UNCO offers over 200 undergraduate and graduate programs, ensuring that any monster (or human) can find a place to grow, explore, and thrive.

Julie is a writer at Her Campus at the University of Northern Colorado chapter.
Outside of Her campus, Julie is a freshman at University of Northern Colorado. She is a criminal justice major, and she is minoring in sociology and media studies. She goes to most of the Criminal Justice Society meetings, but she is not a member.
In her free time, Julie likes to read. She is currently reading Sunrise on the Reaping and A Good Girl's Guide to Murder. Her favorite book series is The Hunger Games. Julie also likes to make jewelry; the only thing she does not make is rings. Julie is a good painter and actor. She has won many awards in both. Julie loves watching anime; her favorite animes are Frieren: Beyond Journey's End and Horimya. She can talk about the symbolism in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End all day. She is going to start Gachiakuta soon. Julie loves Avatar: The Last Airbender because of nostalgia; her favorite characters are the water tribe siblings, Sokka and Katara. Finally, Julie loves to go on walks with her emotional support cat, Jack. When Julie takes Jack for walks, Jack is in a stroller and is sometimes in a frog hoodie to keep him warm in the cold.
