gemini- a fever you can’t sweat out by panic! at the disco
I love me some Gemini’s, but we all know they can be a little flipant and out-of-the-box. That’s why I think this Panic At The Disco classic is perfect for them. Each song is cohesive and there is a clear theme strung throughout the whole album. However, there are so many interesting changes of pace, and each song has just the right amount of edge & quirkiness to it, making it very reflective of the Gemini spirit.
Scorpio- Grace by jeff buckley
Jeff Buckely is the king of Scorpios, and if you listen to this album, you’ll fully understand why. Scorpios love when their depth and pain are matched, and each song on this album is dripping with despair and yearing. Being able to express their deepest feelings while still maintaining a mysterious appearance is exactly what a Scorpio needs, and this album will fill that desire.
aquarius- visions by grimes
I had to pull out something weird for my little weirdos. Grime’s Genesis is full of synthy and obscure songs while also maintaining a pleasant and put-together sound. I think this album captures what an Aquarius strives for. They crave obscurity, but want to package it nicely with a bow. They want to be different and they want to do that proudly, that’s why Visions would be a great fit for them.
pisces- depression cherry by beach house
Depression Cherry is perfect for a Pisces. Each song has this dream-like haze to it, which is a great reflection of the free-flowing and emotional Pisces. Those who are looking to go on a soul searching journey that’s guided by music should listen to this album, and there is nobody who wants to do that more than a Pisces.
Leo- electra heart by marina and the diamons
Had to give an alt-pop album to the Leos! This album is danceable, but has an underlying darkness that critiques self-obsession and stardom. Not saying Leos are vain, but they are ruled by the sun, which everything revolves around. Leos are also not who they appear to be on the surface, they have so much depth that’s masked by their “sunny” and charming exterior. I think that makes Leos a perfect parallel for this album.
libra and taurus- heaven or las vegas by cocteau twins
While yes, Libras value aesthetics and prefer things to be neatly packaged in pretty bows, they are still air signs. What this means is that a Libra can take a trip to the weird side every once in a while, and they may come back loving it. As for Taurus, they place a similar value in beauty and aesthetics, this is due to each sign’ Venus influence. Taurus, however, likes to remain grounded and relaxed. The slow and vibey nature of the songs will appeal to the Taurus, while their obscurity will pique a Libra’s interest. However, they both will appreciate this album’s beauty.
aries- mellon collie and the infinite sadness by the smashing pumpkins.
What I think the fiery nature of an Aries will like the most about this album is how it dips its toes into heavier rock. There are some slower songs that will reel you back in, which the child-like spirit of an Aries will also appreciate. The Smashing Pumpkis in general do an amazing job at balancing a harder rock influence with a softer tone, something that I think an Aries can really resonate with.
capricorn- am by arctic monkeys
This album contains a grittiness that I think Capricorn people will appreciate and resonate with. While it does get slow and take you somewhere emotional, it rarely stays there for too long, which is what a Capricorn prefers. Not to say this album is void of emotion, it just doesn’t necessarily live in that space or make it’s self too sappy. There is definitely something about hidden emotions, not ones that are outwardly expressed, that a Capricorn gravitates to.
CanCer- titanic rising by weyes blood
The cover art for this album really does it for me! Each track, as well as the art, encapsulates the “watery” nature of a Cancer. The album revolves around the theme of nostalgia, which Cancers are huge junkies for. Each song is also rich with emotion, and that perfectly appeals to the nature of a Cancer!
virgo- ultraviolence by lana del rey
It was a major toss-up between Virgo and Scorpio on who would most appreciate this album. I came to the conclusion that Lana fits the nature of Virgo much better. Each song is slow and filled with introspection, a major Virgo strong suit. The entire album is essentially Lana overanalysing a complex romantic relationship, which Virgos will find highly relatable.
sagittarius- lonerism by tame impala
A Sag’s need for exploration can never be satiated. Hopefully, there’s something in this album that satisfies that need. It’s more upbeat than the normal Tame Impala “psychedelic” vibe that will keep a Sagittarius hooked. There’s also this large theme of existentialism, and the search for a big “why?”. These are all traits synonymous with Sagittarius, making this album a perfect fit for them!
