SPRING RESET IDEAS

The first day of spring has officially passed, marking the end of winter. As the new season brings consistent rain, you may find yourself spending a lot of time indoors. Perfect timing for a spring cleaning reset, but if you’re overwhelmed and unsure where to start, here are a few pointers to help!

Closet Clean-Out!

As you start to switch out the big jackets for windbreakers, or your sweaters for thinner cardigans, go through your winter and fall clothes. If anything no longer fits, or you just kept shoving it to the back of the drawer all winter instead of wearing it, put it out to get rid of! If whatever you’re saying goodbye to is ruined, throw it out but if it’s in good condition, pack it up and take it to a donation bin. The same can go for your warmer clothes. As you’re pulling new pieces out that you haven’t seen since late last year, check and see if they’re still worth keeping. If not, add them to the pile and make some new space in your closet.

    Decor Change

While we would hope that your Christmas decorations have come down by now, maybe it’s time to switch out what decor you do still have up. Adjust the color scheme, put up some different artwork, maybe even rearrange the way your room is set up. Moving little things around like this can make the space feel new, allowing the room for productivity, relaxation or whatever else you need to get through the last few weeks of the semester!

      Set A New Outdoor Routine

As the weather warms up and being outside becomes bearable again, set a new outdoor goal for yourself. Take a walk every day, try to reach a step goal, take a bike ride or play a game with friends on the courts or green. Even though the end of the semester is approaching, use a few minutes every day to step back from your laptop, textbooks or other studies, and soak in some extra sunlight (while it’s not raining, of course)!
