Roblox Games to Stay Connected with Friends During a Snow Day

With all the snow and freezing temperatures recently, for me, it’s easier to stay inside and keep warm with indoor activities. However, when I’m inside for too long, I get bored pretty quickly. I’d clean my room, watch all the movies on my watchlist, scroll through my entire feed, but I end up missing my friends and wanting to do something fun.

One of my favorite ways to combat this boredom and reconnect with friends is by playing video games. Roblox has countless games for free, and almost all my friends have accounts from when we were younger. Here are some of my top picks for games you can enjoy on a snow day!

  1. Hitman Card Game

One of my friends introduced me to this game recently and I’m obsessed with it! In this card game, each player starts with a certain number of cards and takes turns either picking up new cards or playing the ones they have. The goal is to avoid hitman cards, which can mean elimination if you don’t have angel cards to save you. There are all sorts of cards that can be used in this game, some of which are like UNO cards, and the players must use them to gain the upper hand. It only takes about one or two games to get the hang of it. After that, it’s so much fun! There’s a team mode and many other game settings you can edit to customize your game. If you enjoy competitive strategy games, this one is for you!

2. Outlaster

Based on the hit reality TV show, SurvivorOutlaster is a round-based competitive game with many different challenges. Players start separated into two or three tribes, competing in group-based mini games. Each round, the losing team must vote to eliminate one of their team members. After there are enough eliminations, the groups merge, the challenges become individual, and the winner gains immunity from being voted out that round.

At the end of each game, the group votes for a player to be eliminated, with that player joining the jury. However, there is a possibility of a redemption round to rejoin the game. Also, if you remain on the jury, you get to vote for the winner out of the last three players at the end of the game. However, to make sure there isn’t favoritism, players can receive points that count as votes based on how well they played the mini games to help weigh their score towards victory.

This game involves both strategy and gameplay skills, but my favorite part is that no two games are alike because of the wide variety of mini games and types of players. It’s super fun and I highly recommend it if you want to play a longer game with many different types of challenges!

3. Dress to Impress

You’ve probably heard of this one since it gained lots of popularity over a year ago! Dress to Impress is a round-based competitive dress-up game where players compete to have the best style. In the main game, players have a few minutes to design their looks based on a theme before being voted out of five stars by other players, with the winners crowned based on having the most votes. The themes can be related to aesthetics (coquette, kawaii, y2k, etc.) or seasonal (beach, snow day, Halloween, etc.). You can even submit theme ideas for the server to compete with!

Also, you’re able to partner with friends to compete as a duo! While this version is already lots of fun, there’s also another game mode called Style Showdown. In this mode, up to seven players compete to have the best looks based on a theme while also facing challenges. Some of these include random item, item lock, limited items, double elimination, and more! Each round, players vote for their top three favorite looks, and the player with the least votes gets eliminated. When three players remain, a grande finale begins, with the jury of eliminated players voting on the winner. While you can’t duo in this mode like in the base game, it’s still fun to play with friends and I highly recommend!

All three of these games have great repeatability, creating endless fun any day you’re stuck inside because of the weather!
