Watching the 2026 Winter Olympics only got us through the Heated Rivalry drought for so long. Since its release in November, the girls and the gays (and the straight guys!) have been obsessed with the first season of Heated Rivalry, which features breakout stars Connor Storrie (who plays Ilya Rozanov) and Hudson Williams (Shane Hollander).
The fanbase that this series has captured is cult-like, and for good reason. Besides mainstream representation for the queer community, this show is just as hot as it gets. Sure, there are plenty of other great shows with the same vibe to hold us over until Season 2 is officially announced, but the internet cannot get enough of Storrie and Williams, and the industry is taking note. Although the book-to-screen adaptation was the first major hit for each actor, there are actually a few projects fans can watch to get their Connor and Hudson fix — beyond award show appearances or rumored next projects. Here are the must-watch popular shows and movies already out that feature our new favorite (fake) hockey players, Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams.
- Storrie: Riley (2023)
-
Good news for Ilya fans: Riley is an LGBTQ+ coming-of-age story. This film is the directorial debut for Benjamin Howard, who also wrote the film. Storrie plays Liam Hauser alongside Jake Holley as Dakota Riley. The plot of this film is a perfect fit for Heated Rivalry fans. Dakota, the star football player at a high school in San Diego, is exploring his sexuality and working to accept his identity. Some fans have pointed out Storrie’s iconic glow-up after his appearance in Riley. Riley can be streamed on Prime Video, YouTube, Apple TV, Google Play, Fandango at Home and Sling TV.
- Williams: Tracker (2024)
-
Hudson Williams’s cameo in CBS’s series Tracker has fans — and fellow actors — talking. Williams appears in Episode 1 in a foundational scene that sets up the show’s main plot. Justin Hartley, best known for his role in This Is Us, gave Williams a shoutout and poked some fun at his newfound stardom. The cast and crew of Tracker “knew him back when.” Hey, CBS, how about we bring him back in for another episode?
- Storrie: Joker: Folie à Deux (2024)
-
Connor Storrie’s character in this movie may not have an official name beyond the cryptic “Young Inmate,” but his role is pivotal. Joker: Folie à Deux hit theaters back in October 2024 and stars Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga. Storrie’s character has immense implications connected to the comic book world. Because of the importance of his role, Storrie had to keep quiet for quite some time about his involvement in the project. Joker: Folie à Deux can be streamed on HBO Max.
- Williams: Nobody Dumps My Daughter (2024)
-
Hudson Williams plays the supporting role of Sean in the Lifetime original film Nobody Dumps My Daughter. The film follows the life of a mother who is a little too obsessed with her daughter’s dating life. Nobody Dumps My Daughter was co-produced by Lighthouse Pictures as a Canadian-American film, and it can be streamed on Lifetime for free, or for rent on Prime Video, Google Play, YouTube or Fandango at Home.
- Storrie: Headless Horseman (2022)
-
This independent feature film may have been a bit underground when it first came out, but there’s no chance of that now that one of its actors, Connor Storrie, is on everyone’s mind. Storrie plays a character named Tom who is involved in a revenge deal after a man is almost beheaded. This action-horror project is an adaptation of a 1820s short story by Washington Irving titled The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, which is a Revolutionary War tale about a Hessian soldier. Although Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow, a 1999 adaptation of the same folktale, was more conventionally popular, this small production from The Asylum might have some competition thanks to Heated Rivalry.
- Williams: SUPER SUPPORT (2025)
-
This short gem, SUPER SUPPORT, shows Hudson Williams in a way we’ve never seen before, and it’s unbelievable that this is free to watch. In this story, a group of superheroes are forced to learn what life is like for those without powers. This short was created during Williams’s time as a film student at Langara College, and it’s honestly amazing to see how his film student grind eventually paid off!
- Williams: SUPER SUPPORT 2 (2025)
-
If you watched SUPER SUPPORT and were obsessed with Hudson Williams in cheetah print (because who wouldn’t be), you’re in luck! This short has a second part, which is also available to watch for free on YouTube.
- Storrie: Watch and Guide (2019)
-
Connor Storrie plays a supporting role in Watch and Guide, a 9-minute comedic short film about a not-so-normal Uber ride. The film, directed by Mitch Bradford, is available to watch for free on YouTube, and everyone in the comments is talking about how independent films like these got a new wave of popularity after Heated Rivalry went viral. This is a great watch if you’re missing Ilya Rozanov.
