Valentine’s Day is hard to plan, especially if one person is farther away than the other. Here are some long-distance Valentine’s Day date ideas!
- Door Dash each other food
Due to the distance, going out to a restaurant can be very difficult. Either both choose the same place to DoorDash or surprise each other! With this, it can be very intriguing waiting to see what the other person ordered, and then dine together over FaceTime and play some romantic music. Â
- Screenshare a Movie
Pick out a romance movie, or any movie you both enjoy, or want to see, and screenshare it! This way, you both can watch the movie together while also seeing each other’s reaction, like you would in a theater, and of course, both having popcorn.
- Write Love Letters
Before speaking on FaceTime or a call, write a love letter. It can be simple or a long one. Then, when both of you are on a call, take turns reading it. This keeps the romance up but also allows you two to stay connected and embrace each other.Â
- Send Packages/Gifts
Valentine’s Day is a great day to send gifts to each other, if you have not already. If it is very last-minute, you could DoorDash flowers, chocolate, a chocolate teddy bear, or anything that they would enjoy or like. If it’s not last-minute, send a box full of their favorite treats, or clothes, or hand-make something for bonus points.Â
- Play an Online Game TogetherÂ
Online games are a great way for people to do an activity together, while talking and having fun. There are multiple free 2-person games, but also some that cost money. A good one is “It Takes Two.” In this game, you are forced to work together and have good communication, while also having fun.Â
These are just some of the many ways Valentine’s Day could still be celebrated even though it seems hard.
