There’s a certain kind of magic in the air during the holidays — and this year, it hit extra hard. Christmas became my favorite holiday ever after my favorite rap duo, $uicideboy$, casually dropped a surprise album out of absolutely nowhere.
Titled THY WILL BE DONE, the project packs 10 tracks into a tight 29 minutes and 46 seconds — aka the perfect length to loop obsessively without realizing how much time has passed. Following the release of their most recent 2025 album THY KINGDOM COME (which, by the way, is a straight masterpiece), nobody saw this coming. On top of relaxing during winter break and enjoying the lighthearted chaos of the holidays, this album led to the highest dopamine boost a $uicideboy$ fan could possibly imagine.
Like most new albums — especially when you’re a hardcore fan—it took me a second to fully warm up to it. But the more I listened, the more it pulled me in. Unlike THY KINGDOM COME, which introduced an entirely new sound for the duo, this album feels like a perfect blend of their gritty 2015-era roots mixed with their newer, evolved style. And like always, they nailed it.
Of course, some songs immediately demand to be replayed, and these three wasted absolutely no time becoming my favorites.
1. BLOODSWEAT
You know that moment when you’ve been slacking for a while, then suddenly at 2 a.m. you’re hit with an intense urge to turn your life around? If that feeling were a song, it would be BLOODSWEAT. This is hands-down one of the most hype tracks I’ve ever heard from the boys. The second it starts, I’m out of bed, doing something productive. Crack in music form. No exaggeration.
2. Angel Grove
Angel Grove stood out to me immediately, and I’m obsessed with the beat—it somehow reminds me of one of my all-time favorite $uicideboy$ songs, “Planting the Roots Only to Fall Out the Tree.” Even though it’s only been out for a short time, it feels dreamy and nostalgic, like it was already one of my favorite songs in a past life. Easily the best chill-vibes listen on the album.
3. Old Addicts, New Habits
This one is pure euphoria. I’m beyond addicted, to say the least. I have zero doubt it’s going to be one of the most successful songs because of how unique it sounds compared to the rest. Scrim’s verse especially? Unreal. It feels like I’m levitating in another dimension.
Even the boys know how hard they went with BLOODSWEAT — not long after I mentally ranked it #1, it became the first track to get a music video, proving we definitely weren’t done counting our blessings.
So whether you’re a die-hard $uicideboy$ fan like me, a rap lover looking for something new, or just bored of your current playlists, this album is 100% worth the listen. If your New Year needs a new soundtrack, THY WILL BE DONE just volunteered.
