My 2025 Christmas Wish List: The Essentials I’m Hoping For

As if I don’t already have enough things, this year’s Christmas wish list is focused on a few essentials I genuinely need.

At the top of the list is the Shark hair-styling brush. I’ve used the Revlon round brush since high school, and when that finally burned out, I switched to a multi-attachment tool that has lasted me about three years. Now that it’s on its last leg, it’s time for an upgrade. The Shark tool feels like the perfect next step. Not only does it create smooth, bouncy blowouts, but everyone I know swears by how long it lasts. If my mom is reading this, this is my number one.

Second on my list is a new pair of AirPods. I’ve had mine for over six years, and they’re officially retired. One doesn’t work at all, and the other barely functions unless the volume is turned all the way up. I love my wired headphones, but AirPods are simply more convenient for everyday use, whether I’m heading to class, working out, or just need something easy to grab. A new pair would make a huge difference.

I also need a restock of my Rhode Barrier Butter moisturizer. I’ve been a loyal Rhode user for a while, and the “Barrier Butter” has become a staple in my routine. I’m almost completely out, and winter skin waits for no one. A new tube would definitely get some use.

Next on my list is the Charlotte Tilbury “Walk of No Shame” lip liner. I’ve used the classic “Pillow Talk” shade for so long, and while it’s still one of my favorites, I’m ready to switch it up. The shade Walk of No Shame feels like the perfect, deeper shade to add to my everyday makeup rotation.

To round out my list, there are a few smaller essentials I’d love to have on hand. My favorite Adidas socks are always in short supply, and I can never have too many. A cozy blanket is another must. And of course, Starbucks and Trader Joe’s gift cards are always appreciated, easy, practical, and guaranteed to get used.
