As fall blends into winter, you might want to watch more shows that feel less like fun, warm days and more like comforting, cozy fall and winter vibes. Here are some of my favorite shows to watch to embrace the autumn and winter spirit:
- Gilmore Girls
-
This show is the classic fall pick. It’s filled with quick, witty dialogue that’s hard to beat. With its great romances, drama, and cute setting, it’s hard not to fall in love with this show.Â
It follows a single mother and her daughter, Rory Gilmore, through their lives in the small town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut, as they deal with family drama, relationships, and growing up. It also has seven original seasons and a spin-off show, all on Netflix, so you can watch them all season long. It’s one of the best shows to set the perfect fall.
Warner Bros. Television - Only Murders in the Building
-
Who doesn’t love a murder mystery?
This show is set in New York City, usually during the fall, making it a perfect seasonal watch. The show follows three residents of the Arconia as they create a podcast to solve the murder of one of the building’s tenants.Â
The cast is star-studded, with Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez as the leads, and additional characters played by Meryl Streep, Logan Lerman, and many more. This show has humor, drama, and crazy twists and turns. Plus, you’ll want everything in Mabel Mora’s wardrobe!
Hulu - Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
-
If you’re craving some spooky vibes this season, check out the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Revamping the 90s sitcom into a darker, creepier, and more angsty version, this drama follows Sabrina Spellman, her two aunts, and her cousin Ambrose as they battle evil in all its forms.
It also has great romances, fight scenes, and scary moments that will have you on the edge of your seat. Add a little witchy vibe to your fall this season and stream the entire show on Netflix.
- The Great British Bake Off
-
Finally, there’s The Great British Bake Off.
This reality show first became popular in the U.K. and is now available on Netflix in the U.S. The show has several seasons, and each season features around 12 home bakers competing for a chance at a glass plate and the title of the Great British Bake Off winner.Â
This show is comforting and slow-paced, making it an excellent choice for unwinding and getting cozy in the colder months. This series can also be great when you want to get into the festive season and are craving good, homemade savory or sweet comfort food. And if you are really enjoying it, Netflix has an entire collection dedicated to this show.
So watch it with celebrities, with kids, and even get into the holiday spirit with some Holiday Bake Off!
Sometimes all we need is a good show!
