Halloween is a time for storytelling, and with Halloween around the corner no one tells a better spooky story than some of our old-time favorite TV shows. Some of our favorite characters are from Disney and Nickelodeon dressed up in costumes and put on scares that made us scream and laugh. So, grab your blanket and get some snacks while I take you on a haunting trip down memory lane.

  1. A.N.T. Farm “mutANT Farm” S1.E14

This episode takes place in an alternate Halloween style universe, where the regular gifted kids are all mutants with weird appearances and strange abilities. Now, we all know and love the song “Calling All the Monsters” from this episode, which is why this is my personal favorite Halloween episode. If you are looking for a fun Halloween special filled with spooky jokes, I recommend watching this.

  1. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody “The Ghost of Suite 613” S1.E19

Zack and Cody hear a rumor about one of the hotel suites being haunted. Zack convinces everyone to spend a night in the haunted suite but, what Zack doesn’t know is Cody and the rest are pulling a prank on him. The lights flickering and everyone is disappearing one by one except for Zack. In the end, something weird happened hinting that maybe the ghost was real after all. I like this episode because it’s full of twists and turns and just scary enough to stick with you, especially if you watched it as a kid.

  1. Jessie “Ghost Bummers” S3.E1

Jessie was my all-time favorite, so this Halloween episode is highly recommended. Jessie was super excited to throw her Halloween party, but Ms. Chesterfield gets the party shut down. They are sitting in the apartment, and lights start to flicker, and they realize maybe the penthouse is haunted. They came up with a plan to outsmart the ghosts and send them back. This episode is really good because it shows comedy, chaos, and a few scares.

  1. That’s So Raven “Don’t Have a Cow” S2.E2

In this episode Raven and Chelsea are upset they didn’t get invited to the big Halloween party. They use a spell to get an invite to the party, and at first, everything seems to be fine but slowly they both start to turn into cows. Raven being a psychic, she gets a vision of them transforming into cows; she freaks out and tries to fix it before it’s too late. This episode of That’s So Raven is memorable, funny, with a spooky twist.

  1. Lizzie McGuire “Night of the Day of the Dead” S1.E24

This episode builds up like a spooky mystery, but it mixes the scares with humor and friendship. A popular mean girl disrespects Miranda’s tradition and with Kate’s disrespect she might have cursed them. Theres enough mystery left that makes us wonder if some of the ghosts were real after all. I like this episode because it brings out mystery and chills but also teaches us to respect different cultures and traditions.

  1. Hannah Montana “Torn Between Two Hannahs” S1.E17

Things get a little messy when Miley’s identical cousin comes into town for Halloween. At first, Luann is sweet and excited to hang out, but it quickly becomes clear that she is jealous of Miley being Hannah Montana. At the Halloween party, Luann tries to ruin Miley’s reputation by being rude and making Hannah look bad even trying to reveal her secret identity. This episode of Hannah Montana is great, and I love it because it’s mixing Halloween fun and a twin-swap story.

  1. Wizards of Waverly Place “Halloween” S3.E2

The Russo Family is known for their magic and pranking. In this episode, they are doing their annual haunted house, but it wasn’t so scary. Alex secretly uses magic to make the haunted house terrifying; she makes all the decorations come to life and of course things get out of control. I like this episode because it gives you a real scare with all the decorations coming to life and attacking people. It’s like you’re at a haunted house.

  1. SpongeBob “Scaredy Pants” S1.E13

We all know SpongeBob is the easiest person to scare. In town he is known as the biggest scaredy cat, but he wants to be the one scaring everybody for once. He dresses up in a costume in which he thinks is the scariest thing you could think of. Nobody is taking him seriously in his costume, instead they are just laughing. This episode is funny, a little spooky, which is the perfect blend for SpongeBob silliness and Halloween spirit.

  1. Liv and Maddie “Scare-a-Rooney” S4.E3

The Rooney house is all about spooky fun. Maddie wants to turn their house into this super creepy and scary haunted house to impress everyone, but Liv wants to make Halloween more about treats and costumes. Throughout the night Maddie tries to scare Liv to prove to her that Halloween should be scary, but it backfired, and things get too real. I love this Halloween episode of Liv and Maddie because it shows you that Halloween can be both spooky and sweet.

  1. Big Time Rush “Big Time Halloween” S2.E5

The guys decide to throw an epic Halloween Party, but it doesn’t go as planned. They are trying to keep things under control while weird things are happening around the hotel. The whole episode is full of fun and spooky twists. I like this episode because it has over the top costumes, and a lot of Halloween energy. It gives you that real spooky feeling when everything goes off the rails, but it’s all part of Halloween fun.
