TikTok has been through its ups and downs, especially within the past couple of months. I think we can all agree that the TikTok ban was the most dramatic 12 hours of our lives. I don’t know about you all but I still shiver when I think of Instagram Reels.
While all of our For You Pages look different, one of the biggest advantages of opening TikTok is the same feeling YouTube wishes it gave us: a sense of community. Whether it’s watching a get-ready with me, a dance video, or a crazy story time, TikTok truly has something for everyone. In honor of TikTok’s resurrection, here is a list of some of my favorite comfort creators.
- Casey Winbush
-
I have to start strong with kcwinnie. The number of times I have watched Casey Winbush’s comedic scenario videos after a crash-out is insane. Not to mention her sketches are very thoughtful and creative! She is definitely one of my top favorite creators when I need a good laugh.
- Claudia Walsh
-
Claudia Walsh is a creator I have been following for a long time. Originally, I started watching her after watching her family’s content. While a fitness and wellness influencer, she also expands her content to days in the life, vlogs, and mental health videos. I watched Walsh a lot when I was in a really bad place mentally and wasn’t feeling motivated. Through her content, she acts as a big sister in a sense, sharing her experience working through mental health issues and sharing sneak peeks into her life.
- Kayla Jade
-
Kayla Jade was an interesting addition to the list because I’ve only seen her content more recently. Jade is an Australian sex worker who is very open on her account about her experiences with her regulars and new clients. She gives them pseudonyms like “Peggy Sue” to hint at what they like in the bedroom. She uses her platform to encourage women to be confident and comfortable in their sexuality. Her open book content is slowly breaking down the taboo environment that surrounds women being open about their sex lives.
- Leah Kateb
-
Of course, the people’s princess was going to be on this list! From winning our hearts on Love Island to keeping up with Leah Kateb’s journey has been amazing. Kateb has come through more times than once with skin care, beauty, and fragrance recommendations.
- Christian Walker
-
No one gets it like Walker. I was physically ill when I thought I would never be checked by him again. All of Walker’s content addresses the standards that good men in society SHOULD be upholding. He is definitely a great content creator to turn to for relationship advice and standards.
- Flavia Cucalon
-
A fellow Latina baddie at her finest — nothing else can be said. Her makeup, hair, and outfits are always stunning. I watch Flavia’s content to feel more like “that girl” because she always brings that energy to her vlogs and videos.
- Micky Gordan
-
I am a firm believer that I built my FYP brick by brick, and the fact that Micky’s videos make up 80% of my page means that I built it right. She is so relatable and has the most infectious smile and laugh; her videos feel like you are on FaceTime with a friend.
- Alex Consani
-
I mean, guys, come on. Is this life even life-ing without an Alex Consani video on our saved Consani album?
While TikTok can be seen as a huge form of escapism and can sometimes be deemed unhealthy, I think it’s also important to realize this app’s connection. Whether we have very different comfort creators or shared ones, we can all agree that we can’t return to Instagram.
