Artists like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé have taken the world by storm with enormous buzz surrounding their tours this year. But what about some other talented musical artists that haven’t received as much attention? Here is a list of some upcoming concerts near Raleigh, North Carolina that you might not have known about (and that I suggest you check out).

Pierce the Veil– November 17

If you’re anything like me, you probably had an “emo” phase back in middle school. I may have grown up a tad, but it doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten about this iconic rock band, and neither should you. Pierce the Veil’s new album, The Jaws of Life, has a modern feel while staying true to their emo rock persona. The band will be at The House of Blues, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina soon. Make sure you clear your schedule for Friday, November 17 to see The Jaws of Life concert, featuring some of their oldies as well.

Mitski– February 2

If you’re in the mood for something a little more chill, this indie pop singer and songwriter is a perfect choice. Mitski has rose to fame because of her unique melodramatic vocals with folk-rock undertones. Songs like “Washing Machine Heart” and “Me and My Husband” have received copious attention on social media, however, these are not the only songs deserving of recognition. I highly suggest checking out the rest of Mitski’s discography and listening to her new album The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We. She will be performing at the Durham Performing Arts Center in Durham, NC on February 2, 2024.

LANY– February 13-14

I haven’t quite dabbled in the world of LANY myself but many listeners enjoy their alternative pop tunes. September 29th was the release of their fifth album, titled A Beautiful Blur. LANY will be at The Ritz, Raleigh in just a few months for their world tour. Unfortunately their February 13 date is currently sold out, but don’t worry! They will be back at The Ritz the next night on February 14, 2024. Grab your tickets now while you can!

Crosses- February 23

One of my personal favorites. Lead singer of Deftones, Chino Moreno, and his bandmate, Shaun Lopez, just announced the dates of their upcoming tour. Following the release of their most recent album, Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete, Crosses will be traveling the country for their first tour in over 9 years. Come see them at The Ritz, Raleigh on February 23, 2024 for the Familial World Tour. If you’re a gothic rock fan, I definitely suggest you check this one out. Maybe I’ll see you there ;)

Fall Out Boy– March 19

Just like Pierce the Veil, Fall Out Boy is another “emo kid” icon. We all know the classics like “Sugar, We’re Goin Down” and “Thnks fr th Mmrs”. Similar to other established rock bands, they have made a comeback with the release of their latest album So Much (For) Stardust. Fall Out Boy is currently on tour with Jimmy Eat World, The Main, and others. Head to PNC Arena in Raleigh on March 19, 2024 to listen to some of your nostalgic favs (and some new bangers too).

Niall Horan– June 7

One Direction fans be alerted; one of your idols is also going on tour. After the breakup of his previous boy band, Niall Horan has gone on to pursue his solo career in music. Even if you’re not a One Direction fan, you can still enjoy some music from this Irish folk-pop singer. He will be in Raleigh at the Coastal Credit Union Park at Walnut Creek. Save the date for June 7, 2024!
