Sunday Rest Routine For a Less Stressful Week

Sunday- my favorite day of the week. Why? Because it’s the day I get everything done for the week so I don’t have to worry about any mid-week cleaning or forgotten assignments.

We get busy during the week, and that means our space and mental states may be in a bit of disarray. So, Sunday is the time to get ourselves ready for the hectic week ahead! Here are a few things you can implement to make the Sunday scaries a little less scary:

Everything shower

An everything shower makes everything better, I promise. You want to go into the week looking and feeling your best. So, break out your body scrubs and face masks and cleanse yourself of the weekend.

Call someone

Weekly debriefs are a must. Call your friends and siblings to dish. While you’re at it, call your parents too.

Wash water bottles

Water bottles are nasty. I love my emotional support water bottle, but she is gross. You can get sick from an icky water bottle so give your Stanley or Hydroflask a little bath, please!

Plan

This is my favorite part. Pull out a planner, your calendar app, or a good old sticky note, and take account of the week. It’s important to know what’s due and what’s up. Taking 10 minutes to write everything out will save you mounds of stress.

Tidy

A clear space is a clear mind. Pile all of your shoes back into your closet and organize your desk. While you’re at it, wipe off high-touch surfaces, like your door handle, with a Clorox wipe. Get rid of the germs!

Laundry

Nothing says reset like clean bedding and neatly folded clothes. Prepare to conquer the beast that is the laundry room and cross your fingers that there’s a washing machine that works!

Relax

Girl, if you did all of that you deserve a break! Go you! It’s time to recover from the weekend. You’re all ready for the week.
