Now that the weather is improving and it’s enjoyable to be outside, I like to spend as much time outdoors as I can. Here are some of my favorite things to do during Spring!

  1. Go on walks

I LOVE WALKS! There’s nothing like taking a walk when the weather is nice. I prefer to go with friends, but walking solo is fun, too. It’s amazing how far you can walk when you’re just chatting with your friends and not thinking about how far you’re walking. When no one’s available, though, I like to put on some headphones and listen to a podcast. I’m currently listening to Smartless by Jason Batemen, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett. They invite a different celebrity guest on every episode and ask them a bunch of questions and just talk to them. The three of them are all really funny, so no matter who is on it’s really entertaining. I just listened to the one with Seth Rogan which single handedly got me through the last hour of my car ride back to Bentley. Anyway, I love going on walks when it’s nice out!

  1. Have a picnic

I think picnics are the cutest thing ever. Laying out a cute blanket and having lunch or just some snacks with friends is such a fun spring activity. It’s such a simple act but it’s so endearingly human and it makes the world seem brighter. Maybe that’s a little dramatic, but I feel like it’s a nice way to romanticize life!

  1. Sit outside and read

Reading indoors is nice, but reading outside with the sun on your face is a different experience entirely. Again, it is just a nice way to romanticize life. Being outside in the sunshine makes everyday actions feel more exciting.

  1. Visit a farmer’s market

In Boston specifically, there are tons of farmer’s markets and little pop-ups that you can go to. In the Spring, there’s bound to be fresh produce like strawberries, cherries, and other yummy spring fruits and vegetables. Farmer’s markets are also a really nice place to socialize, whether it be with the other people visiting or with the vendors!
