Which Nail Color You Should Pick Based Off Your Zodiac Sign

It’s always a good time to get your nails done. It’s an easy and relaxing self care activity. Wearing nail polish or getting them done at a salon helps me to not pick at my nails because I want them to stay nice. If you’ve seen the news recently, I’m sure you’ve seen the rise in people talking about gel manicures again. They have been able to link getting gel manicures with an increased risk of skin cancer because of the UV light used to set the polish. (The same way tanning beds and other forms of UV light increase your risk.) 

In light of this I’ve gone back to one of my favorite nail polishes and took a break from gel at nail salons. My go to nail polish is Sally Hansen Miracle Gel. It’s a two step process in which you first apply the color you want, and then when that dries you apply a top coat. They have a gloss and a matte option, and more recently they’ve come out with more top coat options such as Sugar, Unicorn and Crystal.  It lasts for a long time and they have a large variety of shades to choose from. I have both the gloss and matte top coat and I love them. Here is what color you should get and wear based on your zodiac sign! (People who I know also influenced my opinion of each sign.)

Capricorn – Bare Dare

A Simple nude-but-still-some-color-shade is perfect for a Capricorn trying to be both practical and fabulous. This beige gives that effortless look but also like they are expensive.

Aquarius – Onyx-Pected 

Aquarius people are, in my experience, very unique and edgy, so while black may be a bit of a tame color, it definitely encompasses the edge and honestly the unique too because pulling off black nails takes skill sometimes and Aquarius has the look down pat!

Pisces – Let’s get digital

This iridescent blueish purple is perfect for all those dreamer Pisces out there. It’s whimsical and reminiscent of the sea, perfect for our little water sign.

Aries – Apollo You Anywhere

A burnt orangey color is perfect for an Aries, not only is it a bold color but it also shows off their element-being a fire sign and all. 

Taurus – Leaf Me Be

This green is great for a nature lover Taurus. It’s a versatile color, classy enough for a rooftop bar, while still showing their granola girl side. 

Gemini – Lilac Insomniac

This color might seem a bit random, but that is exactly what a Gemini is all about. Also most of the Geminis I know are in fact insomniac.

Cancer – Crying Out Loud

This soft blue/purple color is perfect for a Cancer, it’s dreamy and also reminiscent of the color of tears and not just because of the name… sorry not sorry Cancers, we still love you!

Leo – Cactus Makes Perfect

This loud, but pretty color is the perfect shade for a Leo who always needs to be on trend and the center of attention. They are the moment.

Virgo – Get Mod

French tip or beach trip, this is perfect for a Virgo. It’s practical and clean but still fun and subtly shows off a nice tan.

Libra – One Shell of a Party

This pink is the perfect color for a trendsetter-but-princess type Libra. It’ll go with most everything and it is a soft look.

Scorpio – Mad Women

Being a Scorpio I hate the stereotypes, but this rich red color paired with the name mad women? It’s giving that dark feminine energy and that is a Scorpio trademark if I do say so myself.

Sagittarius – It’s Electric 

I don’t know many Sagittarius people, but the ones I do know sure love their bright colors and their sparkles so this golden sparkly color felt perfect. Just the right amount of happiness and shimmer
