Valentine’s Day can be overwhelming for all of us. Hustling to secure plans with that “special someone” or creating elaborate activities can put a lot of pressure in this season.

However, celebrating love can take many shapes and sizes. Having a Galentine’s get-together is a great way to celebrate the holiday with those you love!

1. Host a picnic

A great, budget friendly way to celebrate with friends is to have a picnic. Gathering Valentine’s themed decorations, blankets, and fun treats can elevate a regular picnic into the perfect Galentine’s day special. Getting dressed up and heading to a beach or park, can create the ultimate Pinterest perfect Galentine’s day event.

2. Bake sweet treats

Arguably one of the best parts of Valentine’s day are all the sweets. Find some recipes online and host a baking party. Join together to create multiple sweet dishes while watching a romantic comedy, chick flick, or entertainment of choice. Throw in the perfect Galentine’s playlist and you’re set for a night of fun.

3. Decorations galore

Spicing up your room or dorm with Valentine’s day decor can take this holiday to the next level. Target, Walmart, and Amazon are great places to look for simple holiday decorations. You can even use these cute decorations at an event or get-together to celebrate Valentine’s Day together.

4. Make Cards

We all miss the days in elementary school when we would get candy cards in class each year during a Valentine’s Day party, so why not bring the tradition back! Making cards for your family and friends is a great way to show the love this season. Gather your friends and make DIY Valentine’s Day themed cards with notes inside or even a sweet treat. Make sure to pass them out at an event or on Valentine’s Day!

5. Grab brunch

A way to have a Pinterest perfect Galentine’s day without all the prep is to go out to brunch. Visit a local café or diner with friends (or family) to celebrate Valentine’s day together.

You could also prepare your own brunch with your friends filled with chocolate strawberries, flowers, and all things Valentine’s themed.

6. Invite anyone!

A reminder that the “perfect Galentine’s day” is all about who you’re sharing it with. Celebrating love with those around you can be special however extravagant and simple you choose to create it. Not every photo, plans, or craft has to go exactly as planned, as long as you’re sharing it with the ones you love.

Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone! I hope this week is full of love and beautiful memories!
