Don’t Forget To Spend Time With Friends

There have been times when I’ve been stressed and overwhelmed by my to-do list. When I mentally plan and think about my schedule it feels like a never-ending list. As scared as I am about the outcome, I always end up focusing and accomplishing the task at hand, putting in all my effort to ensure that I present work that is representative of my knowledge and abilities.

During this time, I usually find myself working on my projects and assignments in solitude with my only companions being either music or a movie playing in the background. I will admit it can be a bit lonely sometimes.

Yet, even when I feel like I’m drowning in the sea of work, I am always reminded by my loved ones that I should take a break and enjoy myself. There are multiple ways one can use this time like watching a movie or a TV show, reading a book, or eating great food. Another way, and one of my favorites apart from self-care, is spending time with friends.

When I’m with my friends, whether it be going around the city or simply eating at the dining hall, I find so much joy when we are all together. For me, there is excitement buzzing in the air, and even if I may not feel so great that day, they bring a smile to my face. They make my day a lot lighter and life feels less overwhelming knowing that they’re with me on this journey. As cliché as it may sound, there is never a dull moment when I’m with them. It’s always worth it to spend time with friends.

As I begin to finish off my time here, I can’t help but reminisce about the good old days and think about the time I have left. With the clock ticking and each day quickly passing by, I cherish all the moments made so far.

Truly, I am blessed to have created such wonderful memories with them. I am blessed to have met them. My college experience would not be the same without them.

So, if you have free time, squeeze in some time with your friends. There is nothing better than creating memories and spending time with people who love, care, and appreciate you for who you are.
