My Favorite Celebrity Halloween Looks This Year

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St. John's chapter.

This Halloween, we got to see many fascinating costumes from celebrities. From dressing up as a movie character to cosplaying as another celebrity, here are some of my favorite looks I saw this year:

  1. Hailey Bieber – Laetitia Casta’s Rose Wedding Dress

Hailey Bieber posted photos on Instagram of her wearing Laetitia Casta’s YSL rose wedding dress from the 1999 haute couture runway show. Her post revived a popular moment in fashion when 16-year-old Casta modeled the dress of pink silk roses put together by YSL.

  1. Winnie Harlow – Michael Jackson and Queen Nefertiti

The model did unrecognizable transformations of both King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and Ancient Egyptian, Queen Nefertiti from MJ’s 1992 music video, “Remember the Time.” She posted an Instagram reel that currently has 2.7 million views of her dressed as both Michael Jackson and Queen Nefertiti in a split screen doing the “CUFF IT” dance challenge. Her costumes and make-up were so spot on, making her look exactly like MJ and Nefertiti.

  1. Lil Nas X – Ice Spice

Lil Nas X pulled off the satirical costume as Bronx rapper, Ice Spice, copying the outfit she wore in her viral music video, “Munch.” He went all out for his costume, wearing a neon-green bandeau top, denim shorts, Nike Air Force 1’s, and a wig to match her signature curly red hair. He even took photos in what happens to look like a gas station store or a bodega you would find in the Bronx. His costume also got approval from the rapper as she responded to his post on Twitter saying, “U WIN” with a crying emoji.

  1. Kylie Jenner – Bride of Frankenstein

Jenner went all out this Halloween with her Bride of Frankenstein costume, which was custom-made by French fashion designer, Jean Paul Gaultier. Her iconic look was put together with a bandage dress and the black and white streaked hairdo. She posted multiple photos on her Instagram in the costume with a ghostly background set of Frankenstein’s lab.

  1. Emma Chamberlain and Role Model – Grady Twins from The Shining

Social media star, Emma Chamberlain and singer-songwriter, Tucker Pillsbury – professionally known as Role Model – had the internet freaking out this Halloween with their costumes as the notorious Grady twins from the 1980 horror film, The Shining. There have been many speculations about the two dating, and now fans can somewhat confirm the relationship as their Instagram posts show the two hand-in-hand in their costumes.
