The Organizing Esthetics Dream: Tik Tok Restocks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CWU chapter.

My Tik Tok for you page has become a treasure trove of what are known as restocks. These restocks are the most eye-catching, color-palette pleasing and a discovery of new products you just didn’t know you needed. Restocks are a wave of inspiration that inspires others to use their personal containers, label their items, restock in their appropriate field and create an organizer’s paradise of categories.

Restocks are ranging from filling your spices and showing off your collection to a fridge hall with all your beverages, snack packs, fruits and vegetables being washed and placed into their labeled containers. It takes the mundane task of putting away your groceries to the next level. It takes creativity to a simple space and makes organizing eye-catching, colorful and turns it into an art form. You see these people stock their fridges for their families for the week and find new snacks or beverages that you are dying to try.

It takes place in the office, cleaning out drawers adding clear organizer bins to make every pen, paper clip, or extra auxiliary cord have a space so it’s right there when you need it. Watching someone take their office space and restock it with everything they need makes you think if you do this, you have your life together. It even comes down to do you have the matching electronics, or do they have their own spaces as well? If you don’t, then are you restocking the right way?

My personal favorites are the guest bathroom restocks. People that have family or friends over that have this beautiful guest bathroom with tons of room. Room for extra toothbrushes, skin care products, makeup removal wipes, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and the list goes on. If you know what you are doing, every repeat guest that you have has their own box of all their previous guest bathroom goodies.

Restocks are by far the new ASMR. They bring satisfaction to people that enjoy the art of organizing. The fact that years ago we looked at simple everyday tasks like restocking our fridges for the weeks or our bathrooms with all the items we need as a chore will never be looked at the same thanks to Tik Tok. Restocks tell us to get creative and show off our spaces, it tells us to inspire others to get organized in a way that is therapeutic and pleasing.
