If Brunch Is Your Favorite Meal Of The Day, You Have To Check Out These 3 Spots

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCLA chapter.

There’s nothing like sleeping in until 10:00 am and grabbing brunch with a friend at a nearby cafe. Personally, I find breakfast food to be the best, but I’m definitely not an early bird, so brunch is the perfect meal for me. Los Angeles has a bunch of restaurants and eateries to try, but with the overwhelming amount, it might be hard to find a good spot. I’m here to help you narrow down your choices with these three brunch spots you should try.

the butcher, the baker, the cappuccino maker

Don’t you just love the name? This charming spot is located in West Hollywood, and it offers modern Californian cuisine with European influences. If you’re going to stop by, I highly recommend the seafood omelette if you want something savory and the peach bourbon buttermilk pancakes if you want something sweet. Top it off with one of their iconic hand painted bbcm colorburst lattes for the perfect brunch.

Urth caffe

Urth Caffe is known for its fine teas, but there’s a lot more on its menu to make it a great brunch spot. The closest Urth Caffe is in Beverly Hills, but you can also find them in Santa Monica, Melrose or downtown. Personally, my favorite thing about Urth Caffe is its sweets and baked goods. Its berries and cream cake is an absolute delight. The vanilla sponge cake goes well with the Chantilly cream and berries, and it’s a great treat to have with a cup of coffee. Maybe it’s strange to have cake as your first meal of the day, but I say that when it comes to brunch anything goes. If you’re looking for more traditional breakfast food, I suggest their huevos rancheros burrito and their banana nut waffle.

conservatory

Conservatory, located in West Hollywood, is an aesthetic restaurant known for its brunch, dinner and cocktails. If you couldn’t tell, I have a bit of a sweet tooth, so I have to recommend their tres leches French toast. This item has a colorful Fruity Pebbles encrusted brioche with raspberry compote, vanilla bean Chantilly, white chocolate and Fruity Pebbles cereal milk. If you’re looking for something savory, I suggest the Conservatory Brunch Bowl or the breakfast burrito. Keep in mind they only serve brunch on the weekends.

So there you have it. If you find yourself with choice paralysis like I often do, I suggest that you try out one of these three spots. With so much variety on each of their menus, you’re sure to find something you enjoy.
