Fall time here in Toronto! I know the season is upon us when the leaves are turning all sorts of pretty colours, they’re falling off the trees, and we can wear hoodies outside comfortably! Additionally, everything is available in pumpkin spice flavor, and I mean everything!

Today I’ll be giving you a few insights to what you can do this fall in and around Toronto to spice up your season! Let’s get into it.

1. Visit a pumpkin patch

If you complete any fall activity, let it be the iconic visit to a nearby pumpkin patch. It feels so festive to get dressed up in your cute fall outfits and go take pictures with the pumpkins! This is an amazing activity to do with a group of your friends or with your family!

Most pumpkin patches also have additional activities while you’re there–such as a corn maze or big jungle gyms for children! This is an amazing way to make visiting a pumpkin patch inclusive for everyone who wants to join in. More times than not, do your research and you will find fun for the whole group!

Additionally, you can make this an even more exciting activity by carving your pumpkins to make cute Halloween decorations and roast the pumpkin seeds!

2. go for a hike

This activity will either get you out of your comfort zone or be a normal activity that you enjoy! Either way, it’s an amazing activity to tackle this fall. If you’re an avid hiker, you probably already know a few good spots for a peaceful hike with great views this fall.

If you’re new to hiking, I would like to clarify that a ‘hike’ can simply be a nice walk (with your regular shoes!) anywhere you desire! If you do a quick Google search, you’ll find some trails near you that will give you a great experience with some amazing views!

Another quick point: hikes and walks can be the most enjoyable in the fall because it is neither too hot nor too cold!

3. go apple picking and bake your own apple pie

This is an amazing activity. Similar to visiting a pumpkin patch, it’s a wonderful opportunity for spending quality time with friends or family. It is also the perfect opportunity to get dressed up and take some cute pictures while also making memories with the people you care for.

To make this activity even more exciting, take some of the apples you picked yourself and follow a recipe to make an apple pie. It will be so rewarding to enjoy an apple pie that you made yourself while also getting to enjoy autumnal activities!

4. visit halloween haunt at canada’s wonderland

An iconic activity to experience this fall season in Toronto is Canada’s Wonderland’s Halloween Haunt! It’s full of festivities, with the main attractions being their haunted houses found throughout the park. Most of the rides are still operable during this event as well, so if you’re a thrill seeker, this experience will be haunting for you! From the adrenaline rush of a rollercoaster to the jump scare of a haunted maze, you won’t want to miss out on this event!

5. visit a ghost town

This last activity is a bit unique: try visiting a real life ghost town. Abandoned towns do exist within Ontario and are just a Google search away! You can visit iconic scenes and experiences within some of these abandoned (and possibly haunted) towns.

This one could also involve a little road trip, which is an experience in itself with some family or friends.

So if you’re not sure what you want to do with your time this fall season, try one of the activities above! You’ll be sure to have a new experience and create lasting memories.

Don’t forget your pumpkin spice latte and have an amazing Fall!
